Captain's Quarters @The Boat Shop - Overlooking Paradise Bay

We invite you to experience a delightful vacation in this charming one-bedroom rental, ideally located in the heart of downtown Beaver Island. Just a short stroll or bike ride away from the marina, you'll find yourself close to restaurants, shops, entertainment options, and beautiful beaches. The spacious covered deck provides a wonderful view of the harbor by day and serves as a serene getaway for stargazing at night.

Relax and unwind during your stay in this rental. It features a cozy bedroom equipped with a Queen bed, and all linens are provided for your convenience. Enjoy access to a shared laundry facility, as well as complimentary Netflix and Internet during your visit.

Welcome to the historic St. James Boat Shop. Established in 2017, our shop continues the legacy of craftsmanship started by Dan Burton and his family. Since 1985, we have specialized in creating handcrafted cherry wood boats and buckets. If you have any questions or need assistance planning your trip to Beaver Island, we are here to help. We can assist with arranging tours, travel, rentals, and event planning, as well as provide valuable advice for an unforgettable vacation experience. Very cute and cozy place in a terrific location! Very close to the ferry dock and restaurants and steps from a great breakfast spot, market and brewery. Rent an e-bike on site and explore the island!

This is a lovely kitchenette apartment. Has a nice view of Paradise Bay and is a 13 minute walk from the town center. It would be perfect for an extended stay.

Great place & location

This was our first trip to Beaver Island and absolutely loved it. The apartment was 0.5 mile from town and the grocery store is almost next door. It was great having a kitchen and the patio overlooking the bay was wonderful. We had our car and there was ample parking. Highly recommend this property if you are visiting Beaver Island.

Nice, comfortable and convenient place to stay. We only had bikes with us and it was only a few blocks from the ferry and very close to Wild Strawberry Cafe for good food and the market. We had warm weather and wondered if it was hot if the one fan would have been enough, as there is no a/c, but it worked out well for us. The view is beautiful!

Perfect apartment overlooking bay and marina with restaurant, grocery market, and brewery within a 3 minute walk! Walk to town or lighthouse is 10minutes approximately. A great place to “unplug” and get back to nature!

The Captain’s Quarters was perfect for our 2 day stay on the island. It was exactly as shown in the pictures. The location was excellent. Carol was very helpful with island information.

Beaver island

We loved our stay on Beaver Island. Carol was a a fantastic host. It was raining when our ferry got in so she so nice and able to picked us up and drove us to our accommodations which because we were staying off season were ready early. She was very helpful the next day when we wanted to rent a car as well so we could explore more of the island. Our accommodations were clean and quiet and on a gorgeous part of the island.

Overlooking the bay

Captain’s Quarters were perfect for our stay on Beaver Island. Lovely view overlooking the bay, clean apartment with everything we needed. Not sure about the kitchen just because we were only there one night and since we were taking a much needed break we ate out.

Island Getaway

It was very relaxing to head to the island without having to work on our properties. The accommodations were perfect. Location was great. All within walking distance. The Property Manager was very accommodating and friendly. After all we're Neighbors!!!! Views were amazing and the weather was outstanding. Can't wait to stay again!

Paddling paradise bay

We enjoyed the quaint small town life that beaver island offered. This location was absolutely perfect, suiting our paddling and exploring needs! Bike rental beneath us, market next door and access to the water just across the street!! We will be staying here again next summer!!!!

Relaxing on the bay

The apartment was perfect. Everything we needed was there. The view off the deck was wonderful. The location was perfect since we had no car and this apartment is located in the center of town. Very quiet and very relaxing. With the owner just downstairs it was very handy for asking questions about town and things to do. We'll be back.
