About this property
Waterfront gem with hot tub by Loch Ness -Middleton Farmhouse
This unique farmhouse by Loch Ness with spectacular water views, has been recently updated to provide the ultimate escape with direct access to Loch Ness and the beach at Lochend – the very spot where St Columba saw the Great Beastie’. It also has its own little lochen in front of the house. Hot tub, fire pit/BBQ, table tennis are just a few of the facilities you will be able to enjoy when you tire of exploring the mysterious expanse of the main Loch.
Setting Set in a large, fully fenced, screened garden with beautiful water views, a 2 minute walk through the gate will take you to the beautiful beach at Lochend at the top of Loch Ness. There is a soft seating and dining area on the little terrace immediately outside the house or if you prefer or a dedicated fire pit/BBQ seating area in the second terrace by the wood burning hot tub. In addition to this, there is also a table tennis set up in the old open barn by the hot tub area.
Home truth: as the road to the west (A82) runs along Loch Ness you will hear some traffic noise from the road which runs behind the property. – (particularly during high season and ‘rush hour). The property is totally screened from the road and is child and pet safe. We have also used special noise reducing fencing panels to alleviate any noise issues. All rooms face the water.
Your accommodation
The cosy sitting room has a wood burning stove, books, games and TV with Freeview, Netflix, Amazon Prime apps etc. It also has beautiful views of Loch Abben the little Lochen which is in front of the house and feeds into the main body of water.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with an integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven, washer dryer and every amenity you could wish for.
There is a separate dining area/ sun room leading off from the kitchen where you can sit and admire the views and play games, work or eat!.
There are 3 super comfortable bedrooms: The downstairs king size bedroom has an ensuite shower room and upstairs are 2 large further bedrooms. A king size and a twin. There is also a cosy family bathroom upstairs with a slipper tub.
All linen and bedding is high quality Egyptian cotton from Tielle Loves Luxury as recommended by House and Garden Magazine and Country Life and is also used by many 5* hotels. The bedding is hypoallergenic
By request we can also provide a cot and a high chair. . All soaps and shampoos are organic and sourced from the Highland Soap Company.
I have supplied a comprehensive house manual in which you will find suggestions for day trips, visitor attractions, shops, restaurants etc as well as emergency numbers that you might need during your stay.

This cottage provided a great base for exploring the Highlands. It was glorious in the sunshine and cosy in the evenings and was well kitted out with everything a family could need.

Perfect Christmas Stay
We had a brilliant time in this stunning house over Christmas. The kitchen is stocked with every utensil, pan and tray you could possibly need and the whole house is beautifully decorated.
The wood fired hot tub was used loads and whilst it took four hours of tending the fire to get it up to temperature, it was then pretty simple to light occasional fires to keep it up to temperature.
The scenery is gorgeous and we spent the week driving to various locations for day trips within an hour radius such as Loch Morlich and Aviemore.
We would thoroughly recommend this place to other families, especially as they allowed our two dogs to stay for a small extra charge.
My husband and I stayed several days at the farmhouse for our 10th year wedding anniversary. Everything was so beautiful we didn't want to leave! The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the convenience of having fans available for use. Our favorite thing was the wood burning hot tub which we enjoyed each evening following our days journey. Gigina was lovely to work with and very accomodating. We hope to return again to make many more memories at your beautiful piece of paradise!

Wonderful stay (again...)
We had a wonderful stay at the Farm House on the Dochfour Estate. The house is within walking distance of Loch Ness and a few minutes' drive from Inverness. There is so much to see and do in the area, it is an ideal base for hikes. The house itself makes you feel right at home from the moment you step over the threshold. It is warm, cosy and very well equipped. Everything has been thought of.
This was the second time I rented a house through this organisation, and I'm going to do it a third time, because unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, I wasn't able to do everything I wanted to do. What's more, I discovered lots of new things, so I just need a third time. And maybe a fourth too.
And in the evening, you can immerse yourself in the wood-fired hot tub after a day in nature. It doesn't get any more relaxing than that, does it?

Lovely long weekend away
Wow. Such a beautiful home exuding comfort and style. Everything has been thought of & more. It was super clean. The beds were lovely & comfortable. Loads of wood for ALL the fires! It really is a stunning place. The hot tub is amazing. We loved playing table tennis to decide who was cooking!!
It’s not quite on the loch & there is a walk down a slope & then through a field - too far just to run down for a quick swim without taking things with you. It’s more like a ten minute walk. Also if you have people with mobility difficulties, they may struggle to get there.
However. The farmhouse is amazing. We all had a great stay. Thank you.
