Great staff, quaint ambience, good food. A convenient and pleasant place to stop while on a road trip. Limited beverage selection so bring your own drinks!
The Old House is what you would expect if you were visiting your grand parents home. Cosy and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast were offered and we're off a good standard. Farm fresh bread in the morning is the perfect way to start your day. Will definitely use this property as my next stop over again.

I usually stay here, unlikely to do so again. No generator or inverter, extremely noisy at night (street racing just outside the property)

We arrived to be told that we could not have dinner as we haven’t booked before 2 PM and we did not arrive until 3pm. We were disappointed, but even more disappointed in the morning when we got up for breakfast and we told that because we hadn’t ordered it the day before there was no breakfast. This was unsatisfactory. They should’ve told us this or at least put a letter in the room on the day you arrive. On top of this there was a phone left on reception and the alarm went off at 5 AM and did not stop, it had been left there by the receptionist so both ourselves and the other couple in the other room that were with us were awake from 5 and then not to get breakfast was the final straw.
We stopped over at Old House Lodge on the way back from Cape Town. This was our second time at Old House Lodge. Another superb 10/10 visit. The staff were friendly, room clean and comfortable, relaxing in the garden and by the pool, not to mention the fun company of the ducks and the owners dog. Best part is the home cooked meal, something we miss on trips away. Truly awesome in every way!
Our stay at the Old House Lodge was lovely, it was clean and well looked after. The bed was amazing and we had a good night's rest before the second leg of our journey
My wife, baby and I stayed overnight on our way to Cape Town. We found the staff polite and check in was easy. The room was spacious, very clean, and overall perfect for our family. The property is well maintained and the two ducks who live on the property were a nice welcome. The dinner and breakfast was okay, tasted good but nothing special. Definitely a good option in a very small town with limited options. We decided to stay again on our way back from Cape Town. It's a well rounded, reliable, cosy place to stay.
It was a great stay. Loved the gardens and the pool. Really private and quaint little place. Loved it and would recommend it to everyone.

We stayed at the apartments for 5 nights
Overall the location is wonderful, the beach is at your doorstep which is awesome
The cleanliness off the apartments however need some work. There was mold in the shower and mushrooms growing out the floor in the bathroom which was unpleasant. If I were to recommend the place, I would say maybe look at the hotel as appose to apartments
We loved this place. our meals were wonderful, our welcome by all the staff was warm, our rooms were clean and comfortable and the decor was very beautiful.
We used the Old House as a stop-over stay, but would have been happy to stay longer. It was clean and very comfortable, with a big room. We had dinner there too which was good value and a tasty meal. The front desk lady was friendly.

Sleepy in Beaufort West
The Old House Lodge was such a pleasant surprise in Beaufort West - an oasis after a long drive from Cape Town. I felt the check in was a bit of a letdown as it was slow and the receptionist was a little slow. Then I ordered dinner which took almost 2 hours to arrive. However, apart from the slow service, the lodge itself was very nice.
