"My brother wanted to go camping but needed to be able to leave quickly in case of a family emergency. I found the dome. It was perfect and challenging which camping can be. The challenges add to our experience. Shaver Lake turned cold and rainy. Our host was very helpful restoring electricity. Circuit box was behind the bookcase. The place needs one of those rugs that catches all the sand and stuff on our shoes, but there was a broom. Bring a couple of gallons of water for the Kuerig and you favorite coffee, creamer and sweetener. Check at Bob’s Market if you forget anything. The Trading Post is excellent for dinner. The locals at the bar were great. These and the museum hiking, and fishing makes the Dome exceptional. If you are ready for an unusal experience; one you will remember, this is you best option short of roughing it."

"Wonderful location just outside of SEKI. They've built a very humble, quiet, and relaxing location for locals and travelers. I highly recommend this if your goal is to have quick rest breaks. The staff were extremely kind and struck a balance being attentive and letting you have your space to take in the scenery."

"The room was nice and roomy and clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and everything was in working order. My only complaints was there was no A/C or fan so it was hotter inside than outside, when we opened the windows it cooled off a good bit though. The woman at the front desk was kind and helpful. We stayed here just passing through but I’d love to come back and stay in one of the bigger cabins and explore the lake someday soon!"

"Great location off the 168. 3 minute drive to downtown Shaver, 10 min to the lake. Amenities were fantastic. Very clean and comfortable cabin, highly recommend. Host was fantastic to work with. 10/10 property. We used the property for overflow for a sales meeting we did at my cabin in Music Falls and it was perfect!"

"The room advertised and what is there is deceiving. I would rather you show me a picture of a very small cabin and say its a small cabin with heating and running water. Let me know it is walking distance to the restaurant and the lake and picnic tables and a much better stay than a tent but at-least ill know what im taking my family to. I decided to go home and lost my money for that night but ut was a nice 3 plus hour drive for a lakeside picnic. Not all was a loss."

"We stayed here previously and returned because it’s spacious and reasonably priced in a beautiful snowy mountain setting. It works well for a family getaway, but there are some important things to know:Pros:-Spacious layout for groups-Beautiful location-Fair price for the sizeCons / Things to Be Aware Of:-No Wi-Fi (this should be made very clear in the listing)-Very limited TV channels and no streaming capability-Central heat does not work (fireplace and space heaters are provided, but it takes time to warm up—approximately 24 hours)-Could use a more thorough cleaningOverall, this is a good option if you’re prepared and for a more unplugged, rustic stay and understand the trade-offs."
