Great location and spacious comfortable accommodations
The property was exactly as described and there was plenty of room for our party of 7. Beautiful property with complete privacy and the owners were more than gracious and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again!
This is the perfect place to have an up north getaway. Lots of room. Great views. And saw a lot of wildlife - Pileated woodpecker, coyote, squirrels, grouse, turkeys and deer.
Very nice secluded farm house tucked back in the woods. Nice and clean with plenty of room, modern kitchen with plenty of places to hang out. Perfect for a place to relax and unwind after a day of play.
Communication with property manager was top notch
We loved this place. Cozy but so much room and the living area was so open. Beautiful fireplace. Loved being tucked in the woods and walking the trails. You definitely need 4 wheel drive to get down the long driveway. Short drive to Crystal Mountain. Great grocery store not too far away. The only downside was 2 bedrooms had a bunk bed (standard size) and another bed. The bottom bunk was a tight squeeze to get into. The property descriptions said sleeps 14. Each of those rooms would sleep 6. Great for kids but not so much for privacy. We made due. The master bedroom/bath was crazy amazing!
We had a great time at Woodland Lodge. It is located on such a beautiful piece of land. We seen deer, and turkey. Management of the property is easy to communicate with, and helpful. I wish there was a 4 1/2 star rating. The only reason I did not rate this property a 5, is because the balcony doors on the second floor did not shut properly. This let in some cold air, and you could not lock them. However turning up the heat, and a small rope to tie the handles together took care of that. We reported this to management, and their response was quick, and well appreciated. Management said they will have latches fixed, or replaced. The house has a great layout for a family gathering. Plenty of room, and closet space.

The property is near many places we like to visit. It is only 30 minutes to Manistee, Frankfort, Point Betsie, Crystal Lake. A little less than an hour from Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Glen Arbor. If you are new to the area these are some places to visit. Also, my favorite restaurant is Roadhouse Mexican, in Beulah on Hwy 31 just 15 minutes away.
Beautiful property, nice amenities including plenty of space, plenty of bathrooms, plenty of dishes, plenty of parking. We loved the remoteness and had no issues with the dirt roads. There was plenty of room for playing board games, hanging out, and having fun. The four-seater whirlpool tub in the master bathroom was icing on the cake after days of sand dunes and canoeing.
Quiet piece of northern Michigan forest - plenty of room for outdoor activities on the property and in the BnB. Our group had an amazing time. It was about a 20 minute drive to Lake Michigan. Property came fully equipped for large meals & a bed for every person. Would definitely come back!
We enjoyed the house. Had everything we needed. Kept drive plowed throughout our stay. Would have appreciated better communication from property management, but other than that, loved the property.
Chose property because of layout and bedrooms since we had three kids with us. They loved the bunk beds and the huge tub. Property is remote so you can’t just run out and grab something if you forget it. 4WD recommended for access although we did not have problems getting in with our car. Heavy rains can cause washouts so plan ahead. Considering returning next year!
Our extended family trip to Northern Michigan was an excellent escape from the humdrum of everyday life. The house was exactly what we needed to spread out and relax in privacy and to recharge after our daily outdoor adventures. Close to Arcadia Dunes for mountain biking, scenic hiking, and Papano's Pizza. Close to Beulah for groceries and supplies. Not far from Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Platte River for water based adventure and beach days.
The house was clean and big. The outdoor space was exceptional. We had mountain bike parts shipped to the house so that we could build a new bike in the large detached pole barn. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows around the back yard fire pit. We passed baseball in the yard. We sat out on the multi-level decks and read our books.
We were a party of 10 with diverse age ranges. First floor bedroom was great for older folks. Multiple bathrooms that didn't run out of water were ideal for our needs. Upstairs laundry was convenient and reliable.
There were only a couple of things that were slightly frustrating. My mother-in-law was slightly disappointed that there was no blender for frozen cocktails (I'm mostly joking about that). The common area bathroom, upstairs, had a partially clogged shower drain all week. This was probably the only real issue with the house and easily addressed. There was no grill for outdoor cooking.
This was a great place to spend the week.
