"The house is situated in a quiet, peaceful location with an incredible view. We watched lobster boats come and go and seals fishing in the bay. A fantastic place to spend a few days! The house is small and no-frills, but clean, comfortable and well-maintained. We appreciated how it was far enough from Bar Harbor to avoid the August crowds, but close enough to go there for the day. Check in/out was straightforward, and communication was excellent."

"Amazing property! Photos don't capture the beauty of this place. Inside of cabin is unbelievable. Modern fixtures, incredible ceiling fans, light dimmer on all overhead lights, sky lights, large windows and a beautiful bathroom. I could go on. Fully stocked with everything you need, just bring food. To say my dogs enjoyed their stay would be an understatement. Back deck is gated and a great place for the dogs to chill and dry off without worrying about them. The host, Anne, was super nice and available if needed. No issues with mosquitoes either. Definitely will be returning."

The home was stocked with so many thoughtful extras—it truly felt like everything we could possibly need was right at our fingertips. Although our days were too packed to enjoy, we truly appreciated the great selection of games and books. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish—friendly, prompt, and helpful. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and charming getaway."

"We had a great week on Beal’s! Check-in was easy, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, and the house was light, airy, clean, and perfectly set up for our family. Phil was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. Beautiful sunrises, nice spot to sit by the water, great walks/hikes nearby, great seafood, friendly community, and far from the tourism and crowds further down the coast—we booked for next year before we even left! "We loved our stay in this beautiful, secluded oceanfront cottage! The home had everything we needed and the view was absolutely amazing! Stewart's Grocery & Takeout had great takeout pizza and groceries. We enjoyed lovely maple cortados at the Milkhouse Cafe south of Machias, and fantastic lobster bisque at the Public House. Eastport, Lubec, and Pembroke are all an easy drive away. We also enjoyed Lunch on the Wharf in Corea. An unforgetable stay in an unforgettable location."
