"This is a beautiful, peaceful property staffed by the most helpful and friendly people. The reception is always manned with welcoming, knowledgeable staff who cater for your every need. The bedrooms are spotless and cleaned daily. The beds and bedding are excellent. Very comfortable and luxurious sheeting and pillows. The bathrooms are well stocked with toiletries etc and slippers and dressing gowns supplied. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful characterful room. Breakfast is buffet style and there is plenty of options. However, it is a continental arrangement and anyone expecting a full English may be disappointed. The pool area is beautiful and carefully maintained. Plenty of towels available and the pool bar has a well stocked bar providing great cocktails. In warmer months the roof top pool area also has a restaurant and bbq nights. During cooler months the main restaurant is open in the evening for fabulous a la carte meals. The village of Ghaxaq is very quiet but the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. From here you can travel cheaply to other areas. Ultimately, any business is only as good as the staff who man it. Every member of staff from Nirosha on reception and her colleagues, the wonderful friendly cleaners, bar and restaurant staff and pool man, all work so hard to make your stay perfect!!"

"We had a lovely, well kept room 1 block away from the Port. Eady walking distance to restaurants. What's Ap communication were answered promptly. We were able to find street parking. Lovely, colorful port."

"Property is in excellen condition, lovely large room (superior), and only 3 minutes walk to the towns promenade. Only drawback, which was not the accommodations fault, was the reconstruction of road and adjacent pavement. Noisy during the day, but unless you plan to stay in your room all day its no big deal.Works will be shortlived, dont let this discourage you from staying here, would highly recommend it."

"I rarely write reviews, but after what I experienced at South 32 Hotel, I feel a responsibility to warn other travellers. From the moment I checked in, my room's air conditioning was broken, blowing hot air in the middle of hot weather. I reported it to reception on day one. Nothing happened. Day two, same story, plus a power outage that left me without electricity through the night. By day three, I was told the central air is set to blow heat. No fix. No apology. No urgency whatsoever. What makes this especially serious: heat triggers severe migraines for me. I spent three nights in medically aggravating conditions while staff repeatedly failed to act. To add insult to injury, the outdoor pool advertised on Expedia and the hotel's own website is closed for the entire month. This was never disclosed before or at booking. I call this what it is: false advertising. The pool was part of why I chose this hotel! When I formally complained and requested compensation for the genuinely unacceptable conditions, management refused and could not even be bothered to apologise. Bottom line: poor AC control, several power outages, a pool that does not exist for guests, staff who ignore complaints, and management with zero accountability. Save yourself the misery and book elsewhere!"

"Check in was smooth, received code for entrance and door day before. Building very clean, room very clean and had everything that we needed for our 5 day trip. Did not try breakfast as we did our own thing and got a few bits as we had a fridge. Shop across the road which was very good and stocked fresh bread daily. Very close to harbour and restaurants. The only tiny negative was the lack of staff around to answer questions, mostly done on WhatsApp but we were ok with that but could affect your stay if you aren’t so tech or WhatsApp savvy but overall we had an excellent trip, we loved Marsaxlokk and Malta, would definitely stay again at Dun Gorg Guesthouse"

"We enjoyed our stay overall. One area for improvement would be the cleaning, which could have been a bit more thorough. Additionally, the linens and bedsheets had a slightly musty smell, as if they hadn’t been removed from the washing machine promptly.That said, the owners were very responsive and quick to help us with a couple of issues, which we appreciated."

"Hosts were informative, accommodating, and welcoming. Apartment accurately portrayed. The view really is stunning. Marsaskala is a quiet retreat from the crowds in Valletta, with several restaurants within a short walk. The city bus stop is close by. We had a great stay."
