THE ROUND HOUSE AT SARGENT BEACH AMAZING 360 DEGREE VIEWS

  • It's 360 degree amazing views from the wrap around decks will captivate you before you even step inside. Set apart from any other house by about ¼ mile this beach haven provides the best of all outdoors; Beaching, swimming, surf fishing, fishing on the ICW, kayaking, boating , breath taking sunsets, and bird watching. No matter which way the wind may blow, (and there's always a breeze), you can find just the right spot on the decks to relax and enjoy the view! Sleeps 18 using both levels or can be rented as two separate places; "Top Deck" (sleeps 11) including loft, and "Main Deck" (sleeps 7).
    Amenities:
    *4 Bedrooms all w/ separate bathrooms, plus loft w/ 2 queens.
    *2 Full Kitchens has all dishes, pots, pans & Utensils needed, microwave, stove, oven and fridge in each. Dishwasher Main Deck.
    *Satellite Big Screen TVs in up & downstairs
    in Living Rooms.
    *All Linens provided for bedding, towels and kitchens. Please bring your own Towels for fishing and beach towels.
    *Washer & Dryer - provided for each floor. (Laundry soap not provided.)
    Beds include:
    *Top Deck (11) -1 King, 3 Queens, 2 Queen pullouts and one Full pullout.
    *Main Deck (7) -2 queens, 1 Twin, 1 Queen pullout sofa.
    Two Level Flexibility -Door at top of stairs locks both ways, allowing us to split the two levels as two separate rentals known as "Top Deck" and "Main Deck".

    *Weekly rates available. Holiday rates are slightly higher with a 3night minimum.*

Wonderful place to fish

We stay here every year, you can fish in the canal or the surf side. Beach is never too crowded and there is plenty of space in the house for a nice comfortable vacation.

Francks Family Beach Vacay

The house and property were great for our large extended family vacation! The access to both the beach and the ICW was perfect. Everyone in our group, ages 5 to 67, enjoyed it! Do be sure that you are able to climb stairs! We hope to be able to return soon!

The property is in a great location with access to the gulf and intracoastal waterway. Caught a lot of fish. 4 were keeper size and a mix or reds, black drum and sheepshead. Would return again.

We fished 2 days with a guide out of Matagorda. Had 2 great days with my 2 sons fishing. We enjoyed the beach at Sargent with the family. Little boys found sea shells. Another great week with the family and Sargent.

The Roundhouse-Labor Day

We have stayed at the Roundhouse in Sargent since 2015 for Labor Day. (Minus one year for a Hurricane) It is a great location. Beach out the front door, and fishing from the dock out the back. 4 bedrooms, plus a loft, and 5 bathrooms. 2 kitchens. The recent hurricane Beryl washed out some of the beach, but it's actually better.

Great Location

The location of this property is the best!!! Views are beautiful! Truly can walk to the beach. This place has 3 refrigerators if you rent the entire place. The property managers were super quick to respond to our issues! We never could fine the switch for the outside lights down stairs! Lol. Great house.

Summer Fun

The property was great. It was perfect for our family having access to the beach and inter coastal without having to leave the home. The fishing was fantastic and my family enjoy walking along the beach collecting sea shells. The only thing that could be improved would be to have curtains or shades on the second story When going to bed we would have to go outside to close the storm shutters to have privacy. We would definitely be coming back.

Short and sweet stay

We stayed following tropical storm Alberto, the property was nice, the outside deck needed a little work. But overall it didnt really diminish the stay. We had a pretty large group and everyone found comfortable beds. The king size bed is SO comfortable I had to get the matress info off of it! This is my second stay here at the round house and I'm sure it wont be the last! Thank you

Private island vibes

Felt like we were on our own private island! So relaxing! Loved the views of the canal and the huge cargo boats that travel thru it , and it’s right on the back yard! Had fun fishing from their private pier! Caught lots of fish. And the views from the wrap around decks were amazing …. Seeing my family play in the beach, enjoying the sunrise …. The stars and so many different types of birds , it was just amazing. Big house with bathrooms in each bedroom. Two living rooms and two kitchens equipped with everything ! Only thing I do recommend is bring enough drinking water . And water for cooking . We really want to come back ! This has been the best place we have stayed in!

Making memories

Beautiful location, unforgettable views. The house accommodated a family of 12 with ease. The beach right out your front door and private fishing out the back is amazing. We stayed a week after hurricane Beryl so a lot of the shops and things were not open. This was not a problem though the property was well worth the trip. Lots of flood water so we had hoards of mosquitoes. Nothing a little bug spray wouldn’t fix. Crocodile encounter was an hour away and it was awesome. Also visited sea center Texas , a free location that the kids and adults enjoyed touching and learning about sea life. Dollar store about 15 minutes away and Walmart about 45. I spoke with our host a couple time and she was wonderful! We definitely plan on returning at some point after the area rebuilds. The view from the bridge is breathtaking! Endless beach to explore.

Family Vacation 2023

This is our second time to stay in the round house. The first time was in 2021. This year we had 15 people total. Eight adults and seven children ranging from one years to 14 years old. It is the perfect location to meet everyone’s needs. Walking across to the beach so the kids can collect shells boggy board and swim and build Sandcastles and then some can go on the dock and catch fish. We caught a 41 inch red drum, a 38 inch black drum along with multiple other fish. We also caught sharks jellyfish, and even a puffer fish. There’s enough room in the house for everyone to have their own space and underneath the house has the perfect amount of shade in the afternoons to get out of the sun for a little bit. We brought a portable hammock and it was used for naps every afternoon. We made daily stops at the liquor store, and the kids loved their slushy bar with all of the different types of flavors. The taco truck was also a favorite. For the things we forgot, or ran out of the dollar store in town had what we needed. But there’s not much more in the town so come prepared. As we were leaving my 10-year-old said that she can’t wait to come back into years and they want to make this a family tradition every other year. Would definitely recommend the Round house.
