"The stables was in an ideal location for exploring East Sussex and Kent with lots of nearby attractions. The White Hart inn next door is a family owned village pub with lots of character, good beer and food. The accommodation was ideal for a couple. The open kitchen /longe was very well equipped with the added bonus of French windows onto a small patio area with outside seating. Very difficult to find any faults as is highly recommended we would certainly stay here again."

"The grounds are stunning with so much potential but it feels very much a work in progress. We used paddle boards on the lake, which was fab but an additional charge on top of a very expensive room. The sauna wasn’t quite up to heat, we stoked the wood burning hot tub for a dip, tried the lake to cool off and the cold plunge was unfortunately empty. The room was nice and clean. I booked the junior suite but ended up getting a suite. It didn’t feel any more special than a deluxe room elsewhere and was the most expensive one night I’ve ever paid for. Don’t expect any alcohol if you pay extra for the mini bar. The TV didn’t work in the room and the shower was over the bath rather than a nice standalone. The toiletries smelt lovely and the aircon didn’t respond to any changes we tried to make so we had to turn it off and had an uncomfortably warm night. We ate at the pub with no complaints but as breakfast wasn’t included in the room we swerved it. The outdoor pool was a lovely addition which is mainly why I chose this hotel over others as the weather was warm. All in all a lovely stay but not very good value for money."
