"Staff was very friendly and helpful even during busy times. Convenient location an easy walk from the train station and there were a lot of places to sho and eat nearby. The room and bed were solid. Doesn’t have Air Conditioning which wasn’t an issue the weekend we were there but that’s the only reason for caution"

Top Batavia Stad Hotel Reviews

The Hoxton, Lloyd

The Hoxton, Lloyd

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed during the UK October half term (2 adults, 2 junior age children) as a base to explore Amsterdam. The hotel is slightly out of the city centre, but 10mins journey by tram. We were welcomed late to a lovely reception from Vlad; quite possibly one of the nicest natured people I've ever encountered. Vlad ran us through the amenities, timings and if there was anything else we may need during our stay. We had a biggy bunk up which was a bunk bed and a double bed separated by the bathroom. The room was clean, very nicely decorated and had nice toiletries and plenty tea/coffee. It served as a great base to visit Nemo, Wondr, Artis Zoo and would recommend staying here as a family or a couple to explore Amsterdam city; opposite a Jumbo also for anything forgotten during your stay. The only downsides were the windows appeared to be single glazed and so some noise could be heard in the morning and evening. We also could not recommend the bar or restaurant, there was confusion over where we could sit so needed to change tables between drinks and food, one drink took 40mins to be served (fresh lemonade, we were told this would take 10mins as it was fresh pressed) and the pointed cabbage was probably one of the toughest things I've ever been served; raised with the waiter who just said "oh, okay", not worth almost €100 for 4 drinks, 2 adult and 2 kids meals."
