We were hesitant to book a motel but were so pleasantly surprised by our stay. With dietary restrictions, having a stove/oven is necessary and this was one of the only places available in the area. We had a lovely stay and the room was perfect for what we needed. Area was quiet and safe and a great location for equal access to Lincoln and North Conway. There’s not a lot of establishments up in the white mountains so quaint “no frills” inns/motels that are more on the older side like this one seem to be the norm. Very different than motels in more suburban/urban areas- dirty, unsafe, sketchy people- none of that here. We had such a great time hiking among peak fall foliage and will definitely stay here again when returning to the white mountains. Thanks for a great stay!

Don’t drink the water? I was told the water is safe to shower and brush teeth with - just don’t swallow or drink it. I’m pretty sure there’s a health code violation in there somewhere.

The staff are all nice and friendly, but our room was less than stellar. It came with a kitchenette but the sink didn't drain at all and the microwave didn't work. I get that you get what you pay for but everything should at least be functional. Its a quiet area and located near a lot of fun attractions, the just need to invest a bit into a decent update and this place would be great.

I was planning to stopp over at this Motel for less than 12 hours to get a good nights rest before an early ski day. And I lasted no more than 15 minutes. I don’t think I can put this experience into words but here is all you need to know: When I checked in the attendant warned me not to drink the tap water; the sheets not only didn’t look clean, but had obvious white stains on them; the room had a very strong smoke smell (said non-smoking room); the window was broken so when I tried to open it it simply just fell out; the other window was not broken but it didn’t have a screen. I decided to pay $200 to leave this place for another hotel and I’m so glad I did. I felt unsafe, unhealthy, and unsanitary. Please do not book this place and how do I get a refund?

Moldy shower curtains, a tub that hadn’t been scrubbed in years and was stained beyond recognition, and rat feces on the bathroom counter. Opening up the mini fridge unleashed a stink that I’ll not soon forget. Just about every surface in the room was stained: floors walls, doors, chairs, TVs. Speaking of the TV did not work. The heat did not get past 60 regardless of what we turned it to and we woke up in the night cold. The walls were paper thin. Although I booked the place for two nights, it was so disgusting that I left after the first night and booked a hotel elsewhere. I would rather sleep in my car and I think that about sums up this place. Complete and utter dump, with owners that show an inference to the condition of the property that is downright impressive. Avoid this place at all costs.

Stayed at the villager Friday night so I didn't have to battle driving in a storm Saturday morning. Location is awesome check in went well. That's where the good ends. Hotel room was disgusting stained shower, lights that didn't work, broken lamp shades, dirty shower, flat mattress. Etc... but I will accept that for the price I paid what did I expect? What I didn't expect is to spend my Monday morning in the walk in due to me and my wife being covered in terrible bites after 2 nights of not being able to sleep. BED BUGS!!! I was hoping for fleas because it is a pet friendly hotel. But no. Confirmed bed bugs. Now a cheep hotel has turned into an expensive nightmare. 250 for doctors visits 50 in prescriptions and who knows how much time aggravation and money to ensure my house doesn't become infested. Not happy See google for pictures

Not Worth It!
We had a kitchenette room. The stay was a difficult experience. Snow was piled between the drive and walkway, making it tricky to load and unload, get to and from the car. The room was cold and heat weak. A spider web was in a lampshade. 2 spiders and another bug were on the wall at different times. A light bulb didn't work. A burn and large long split were in blanket-it couldn't be swapped until he next day as the office was closed. Next day the replacement also had burn hole. There was a used sponge at the kitchen sink. There were no towels for dishes. The large wastebasket interior was so filthy the plastic bag liner stuck to it. The step from the sleeping area to the rest of the room had the same carpeting and was unmarked, difficult to see, and therefore precarious, especially at night. There was a bag of trash outside the room next door that was there for duration of our stay. Worst, 3 metal pieces jutted a couple inches from under the mattress, 1 of which caused a long, wide, deep scrape on one leg that's been painful and required purchasing special bandaging, medication, and repeated visits to Dr. at wound center ($$$). Hiking, skiing and movement will be limited by the injury over a month. Conclusion: We won't ever return to this place and don't recommend it! (Link won't work to upload photos!)

Perfect for our needs. A short drive to the Mount Washington hotel as well as the Conway scenic railway. It’s an older motel but is clean and the beds were comfortable. Lots of hot water in the shower.

The room and sheets were clean but the sink in the bathroom was almost falling off the wall and there was mold over the shower. We had reserved 2 rooms and bot rooms had broken window shades. At least one room had curtains that could be drawn over the shades for privacy but our room had no curtains. There was only the room key lock on the door....a second lock would have been nice. It was sufficient for a one night stay but probably wouldn't go back.

Terrible stay
The only thing good about this hotel was the person at the front desk when we checked in. She was very sweet. The outside of the hotel was fine but the inside was very disappointing for the amount of money we paid. I can take outdated but this room was run-down and in bad need of an update. The toilet seat was so old and stained it looked dirty. The tub had green stain running down where the faucet must've been leaking, the sink had a very slow drain, when you washed your hands you could barely get them rinsed without it backing up. The base heaters had cob webs and were rusted. There was dirt in the corners and against the base boards. There was a wash clothe hanging on the shower rod from the previous person. The toilet paper roll was half used and no one serviced the room so we had to go to the front desk to get toilet paper. The wallpaper was torn and peeling. The bed was a cheap innerspring mattress which was terribly uncomfortable. You could hear every conversation and noise in the other rooms. We could not wait for our 2 nights to be over. We would've checked out and left but there were no vacancies anywhere in the area.

Not bad for a weekend of hiking or leaf peeping
Nice place to stay for the price if you're hiking the franc or Crawford. Clean and quiet. Loved that you have your own firepit which is why I chose it. Restaurants and Dunks right down the street.

A ways out from town
Easy and friendly check in. Room was clean. Dimly lit. No weird smells. The beds were way too soft for my liking. Linens were good. Plenty of towels. Location about 5 miles out from anything. A bunch of broken down things outside the back window. Front view looked fine. Back view an eyesore.

Pleasant courteous staff. Room was clean but bathroom was badly in need of a remodel (missing towel rod, paint on switchplates, cracking putty around sink, discolored shower surround). Thin walls, could hear the neighbor's TV clearly. Nice grounds and location. With a little updating could be a very nice place to stay.
