Room 'Das Möwennest' with Shared Terrace and Shared Garden

The triple room 'Das Möwennest', located on the upper floor in Barlt, is the ideal accommodation for a relaxing holiday with your loved ones. The accommodation consists of a living/bedroom and a separate bathroom in the hallway and offers space for up to three people. Amenities include a small hotplate, a coffee machine, and a microwave. A baby cot and a high chair can be provided upon request. Use of a washing machine is possible on request. Breakfast can be booked on site for an additional fee. Outside, several seating areas are available where you can relax in good weather among free-roaming chickens and geese.

Our beautiful farm with its many animals is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of Barlt, a small village off the B5, right between Marne and Meldorf in Dithmarschen on the Wadden Sea.

There are two vacation apartments and a triple room in the main house. At the pond we have a nice camping barrel with a separate bio-toilet and a private shower in the main house. Free Wi-Fi and the option of ordering breakfast also appeal to many cycle tourists. There are storage and charging facilities for e-bikes and bicycles.

On the farm we have horses, ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats, mini pigs, free-range chickens and geese as well as dogs and cats. If you book breakfast, you will receive, for example, eggs from our free-range chickens, homemade jam and yoghurt.

Would you like to bring your horse or take a break as a trail rider (also with a carriage)? That is also possible - just give us a call.

The Wadden Sea is 14 km away. The seal station in Friedrichskoog and the locks of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel can be reached in 20 minutes by car. There are outdoor swimming pools in St. Michaelisdonn (6 km), Meldorf (10 km) or in Brunsbüttel, where you can look out over the Elbe from the pool. Shopping facilities are available in Meldorf, Marne or St. Michaelisdonn. Also worth seeing are Büsum, Sankt Peter-Ording (45 min.) with its large sandy beach or the Multimar Wattforum in Tönning (35 min.).

There are also many cycle paths in the area as well as several museums in Meldorf or Heide (district capital). There are good restaurants in the area that we can recommend. If you would like to go to Hamburg, you can reach the city by car in about an hour or by train from St. Michaelisdonn. Kiel (90 min.), Flensburg (105 min.) or Padborg in Denmark (2 hours) are also possible day trips.
