Very convenient location for travellers near the station but not far from the old town. Clean, spacious room. The luggage storage - useful if catching an overnight ferry - costs extra and needs special arrangement

The owners charged us per person when they clearly state it’s for the room . We booked ,my husband and I,a room for the week and they charged us upon arrival double . Worse experience ever. I have travelled numerous times to europe and this place saw an opportunity to rip us off . Our friends were treated the same way . They also charged my credit card additional expense when we paid with my husband credit card. Buyer be ware !!!!

Dear Donna, as I showed you, you booked for 2 people and you showed up in four. The price is based on occupancy. As a result the price was higher. It was also written in the email received from expedia that the maximum number of occupants per room was one. Even expedia on the phone confirmed it. The only advice I recommend next time is to better check the reservation. Best regards.

Convenient location within easy walking distance of train station and links to airport. Also able to continue up road directly to old historic part of town. Our room and en-suite were clean and spacious. Secure entrance system and lift. Very bright decor. Office like feel to functional reception area. Breakfast is a do it yourself affair at “stations” on your floor with bought in prepacked items. Not convinced that these are date checked or topped up on a daily basis. Butter pats were rancid and out of date by one month!! Only one apple in our “fruit bowl”, two yoghurts, two cartons of juice and two tiny packets of crostini toast left at 08.00 at our breakfast spot despite there being 4 rooms on our floor. (At least 3 were occupied.)

Charge twice for ou luguages storage
We stay at this Melo April 25, then leaving fo Matera April 26 then come back April 27. We paid them 20 Euros fby cash for storage 4 luguages on night of April 26. When we come home. We are suprise they charge us 20 Euros to our MC. We have been charge twice for this service. I give them 1 star and reserved to re-review if they can explain me how and why that happen

Stressful Check in
Lovely rooms and pleasant staff. Renovations meant a late sleep in was not an option but meant a fuller day to explore the area. The only problem was with check in, there was no one there to give us access to our rooms, not a pleasnt experience after a long journey. This seems to be a real problem with unmanned front desks and needs to be sorted out, seriously!

Stop on way to Matera
We were not able to have a room in the main hotel because they had plumbing issues. We were in an apartment about 5 minutes away. So I can not comment on the rooms at the hotel but we had been recommend to stay at the hotel by family who have stayed in the past. The staff we saw were very helpful. The apartment was clean and suitable for our one night stay,

A well located B&b in the centre of Bari. Friendly staff and the room had all mod cons. Would definitely consider again if visiting Bari in the future.

Comfortable hotel
My room was not quite as it was advertised on the website, but it was still comfortable and clean. The place was a little difficult to locate as it was a really small sign on the keypad of an office/apartment block. The lady who welcomed me could not speak English so we bumbled our way through the booking and payment process. The accommodation was really close to the bus and train station and easy walk to the main centre of Bari. There were no brochures or information on the local area though. The walkways outside the hotel were little busy with locals/homeless people which may put some off.

This place has 2 things going for it: close to the train station, and the host is very kind and helpful. Otherwise, it's pretty underwhelming. Our shower didn't drain and the toilet gushed out so much water when we flushed that it splashed out onto the floor every time. This is probably more an issue with the building than the apartments that make up this B&B but nevertheless, it's an issue.

worse hotel ever stayed in. would not recommend it to anyone unless you like roadworks (7am to 4pm) outside the room, graffiti, electric toilet and plumbing forbidden to use in electric cut, 10 steps to reach lift, need to know exact address otherwise will not find, no mini bar or in-room coffee/tea as advertised, etc. formal complaint made to Hotels.com

Dear Mr. Geoffrey, I am sorry that your experience was not pleasant. In those days they were doing the work on the road to make it new. Unfortunately it did not depend on us. To go to any hotel in the world must know the address otherwise we will not arrive. In addition, the address was listed on the reservation he had done. I do not understand what the problem is. You chose without breakfast fare. Therefore, I left in the room only the pods for coffee, cappuccino, tea and chamomile. In the room there the fridge as it is advertised on hotel.com. There are 10 steps to lift, as you can see from the pictures that are on hotel.com. I hope that readers of its review can be aware of its sterile complaints. Best regards.

Found B&B fairly easily; Alessandro was very helpful & welcoming; room decent size; tastefully decorated, modern, and clean; nice touch to have breakfast all provided ready for next morning in room with access to tea and coffee at any time. Area is a little noisy though blind helped to block some of it out — light sleepers may find their rest disturbed. Overall an excellent B&B in a really handy location.

I picked the B&B because it was close to the railway station since I was going to be flying into Bari fairly late in the day and then taking the train again the next afternoon. The B&B is actually a group of apartments in a building on Melo da Bari. The street was pretty drab and grungy, which made me a bit nervous during my short walk from the station. The room itself was not bad, but the breakfast was terrible. Breakfast consisted of some pre-packaged croissants/bread with a few packets of jam/nutella in a basket in the room. Tea bags and a few coffee "pods" were provided, but to use them you had to go out into the hall where a shared coffee & hot water machine was located. In addition, the only cups provided were two "teeny" styrofoam cups which were so small a single teabag nearly filled the cup leaving little room for any water.

Check-in process was easy and informative. Continental breakfast was provided in room, consisting of yoghurt, juices, bottled water, tea selection, toast, pastries, jams, etc. Espresso machine was in the corridor right outside the room.

Host was very communicative and arranged an airport pickup for us. Check-in was painless, room was simple but very clean and functional. Great location, about a 5-10 minute walk to old Bari area. Cheap Bari-food restaurant right around the corner. Would recommend!

Great location in Bari
We booked 4 nights in this bed and breakfast as part of a tour of southern Italy. The owner, Alessandro, was very helpful and gave us an itinerary including places we hadn't heard of. The location was great - the underground car park at Gestipark was a five minute walk away. The room was good - clean and fairly large.

Comfortable room, very clean and well organized. Perfect location in Bari, close to the main train station. Minutes from the old center and restaurants. The host is very gracious and helpful. I highly recommend B&B Melo for your next trip to Bari.

Out of all the places we stayed in southern Italy, this one cost the most. When we arrived, we were moved involuntarily to a suite (an extra 10 minutes walking from the train station, and we had difficulty finding the place when we returned in the evening. The bed was too small for an adult, and the other option was a sleeper sofa. In the morning, there was no hot water. I turned on the hair dryer after an ice cold shower, while my mom turned on the microwave. This cut the power - at this point we had no hot water, no electricity, and no internet. I was forced to walk 10 minutes to the original hotel, freezing outside with wet hair after my icy shower, to tell the manager what had happened. She sent her husband over, who was rude and pushy. Not once during the ordeal were we apologized to for our inconvenience. Alessandro, the son, was the one positive, as he had been very helpful and communicative throughout our stay (he went above and beyond).

The B&B is a part of apartment block. Room is big and clean. Breakfast is in the room (yogurts in fridge, water, juice, pastries, coffee machine). Check out is 10 am its very early. I wanted to ask to leave our bags after checking out but reception was closed. The owner is not there all the time, you have to call them. I found it inconvenient. Overall good place to stay, center location.

Ms kind, I'm sorry that it was not to his liking his stay. I tried to be as friendly and helpful as possible. Accompanying you by car to the train station, and then until you get on the train. The check-out is at 10:00, but you knew, because c is written on hotels.com. Also I have done well to stay 90 minutes longer in the room. Unfortunately you did little attention in turn the hair dryer, two air conditioners, all the lights on and the TV, so the electricity is gone. As soon as I received your message arrived immediately. I have made a small cash refund for the incident. I think you noticed my good will. Hope to see because it was a pleasure to host you. Greetings.

We stayed here for 2 nights Location is excellent - just minutes walk to train station and town centre Room was superb - spacious and very clean I had been in touch with Alessandro from the b&b and he was so very heloful and on our arrival was lovely I will deffo stay here again if I hi back to Bari and would recommend it to anyone

convenient to Bari Centrale Station
The location was very convenient, about 3-4 minute-walk from the station. The room we stayed was small but had a nice balcony that made us feel like really living in an Italian condominium. However, the owner is absent at the breakfast time and so that what we could get was minimum. And since we could not figure out how to use the coffee machine, we could not have any espresso or cappuccino in the morning. If you are staying here, make sure to ask the owner Alessandro how to operate the machine while he is around.

Place was very spacious and clean enough. The owners seemed nice. Spoke enough English. Made one mistake and asked them to recommend a good restaurant. It was just across from the B&B. The owner of the restaurant tried to sell a lobster dish that was over 100 euros.

Convenientemente muy bien ubicada
Fueron muy amables al ingresar, aportaron rápidamente mapas e información turística. Pietro además, se dispuso a responder mensajes de whatsapp en español. No habitual en Italia. La habitación fue muy cómoda y acogedora, tenía un lindo balcón. Lo principal incluso de la elección fue la cercanía a la estaciones ferroviarias y de buses. Lugares muy seguros. Bari es una ciudad hermosa y variada. Cuenta con accesos a pueblos bellísimos por eso hice base allí.

Apartament tuż przy dworcu kolejowym.
Gospodarz miły i sympatyczny. Apartament bardzo blisko dworca kolejowego. Do starówki ok. 1,0 km, do plaży ok. 1,8 km. Lokal czysty sprzątany co 2 dni. W łazience młynek do kanalizacji. Zdarzało się, że z niego śmierdziało.
