The best area to stay in Barbići is within the village centre itself, which offers a blend of traditional Istrian life and convenient access to local amenities.

This central area is where you'll find most of the village's holiday rentals, often traditional stone houses beautifully renovated with modern comforts. The main road through Barbići connects these properties, with some small local shops and a tavern scattered around the area. It's a quiet, residential setting, superb for those seeking a tranquil retreat.

Couples looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway will find the village centre ideal. You can enjoy strolls through the olive groves and vineyards surrounding the village or simply relax by a private pool. The area offers a chance to experience authentic Istrian rural life without being too far from the coast.

For families, staying in the village centre provides a relaxed base with plenty of space for children to play. Many villas offer private gardens and swimming pools, creating a self-contained holiday environment.

The best time to go to Barbići is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

These shoulder seasons offer warm, sunny days great for exploring the Istrian countryside and coastline, with average temperatures ranging from 20-25°C. You'll find that the popular attractions are less busy, and accommodation prices can be more favourable compared to the peak summer months. It's an ideal time for couples looking for a relaxing escape or travellers keen on outdoor activities like cycling or hiking without the intense summer heat.

For those who enjoy the buzz of summer and don't mind higher temperatures and more people, July and August are the warmest months, with averages around 28-30°C. This is peak season, so expect beaches and towns to be at their busiest.
