Vacation Acadia’s Jade's Nest is a sweet, charming, & comfortable home right in downtown Bar Harbor. Ideal for family with kids or group of friends. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, & Shore Path. Steps away from YMCA, Park St. Playground, Athletic & Recreational Field. Ride bike, play ball, baseball, tennis, & pickleball. Mins. from beautiful hiking trails. Quiet residential area. AC in each BR, outdoor furniture for dining & lounging, strong internet, automatic generator & parking for 3 vehicles. Two parking areas. Paved parking on the Ash St. side of the house can accommodate 2 small vehicles or 1 large SUV / Truck. Second parking area located in front of the house (Pleasant St.) by the grass (not road) can park one any size vehicle.

The house is a short walk to shops, bars, restaurants and Shore Path Trail. Other beautiful and scenic hiking trailheads are just a few minutes away.

The house accommodates 8 guests providing 4 bedrooms and 2 full bath. It is a 4 season home with Heat pumps on each bedroom and living room offering controlled heating and AC cooling. No black outs or power interruptions on this home. We have a Generac automatic whole home generator. It comes ON automatically during power outage and turns OFF when power comes back. We have complimentary pack n play and high chair for your little precious traveling with you. Our parking accommodates 3 small cars or 1 large SUV / pick up truck and 1 small car. We have strong internet.

The main level features a front and back deck with outdoor seating. Living, dining and kitchen are all on the first floor. Kitchen is fully stocked. It offers full size appliances that includes fridge with freezer, gas oven / stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and blender. Sink has a waste disposal system. Dining table seats 6. Comfortable oversized leather power reclining chairs faces the large smart TV. Perfect for watching your favorite shows and movies. An oversized soft leather sofa is cozy for lounging.

Our back yard has outdoor furniture for dining and propane grill.

The upper level is accessed via full flight of stairs with railings. There are three bedrooms and a full bath with toilet bidet. Each bedroom has heat pumps that offer independent temperature setting for heating during cold months and AC on warm months. Two of the rooms has queen size bed. The third room has a twin bed over a twin bed (bunk beds that measure 38 inches wide x 75 inches long mattress). One of the room with queen bed has a smart TV. Full bathroom has heater to ensure warm and comfortable experience.

The lower level (basement) is accessed via full flight of stairs. It features the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with washer and 2 dryers. This features a comfortable memory foam queen sized bed. There is a small living area with comfortable power leather loveseat recliner with smart TV to watch your favorite shows and movies. This level has its own outdoor exit via full flight of stairs.

Great house close to downtown

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our week’s stay at this lovely house. Plenty of room for all of us. The house was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect to drive into Acadia each day or walk to downtown Bar Harbor. We’d definitely stay there again.

This single-family home in Bar Harbor was comfortable, clean, and very functional. It's an easy walk into town for food and shopping. Our family enjoyed all of the spaces, including the front porch and outdoor areas out back. The downstairs bedroom, lounge area, and bathroom were excellent! The upstairs bathroom is large and clean and all the beds were very comfortable. The hosts provided many items to make our stay easy and enjoyable. We highly recommend this property for those exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia NP.

Bar Harbor Stay

My friend and I were in Bar Harbor for a visit to Acadia National Park. The house was in a very convenient location for walking into Bar Harbor for grocery store, shops and also enjoying the shore walk. It was also just a few minutes from easy access to Acadia. It was clean and everything we needed was provided. Hosts were very friendly and great communicators. Would definitely stay again!

Clean and Comfortable, Close to Everything

Very clean and comfortable home located within walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor and only a very short drive to Acadia. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Bar Harbor on foot. It was very easy to get to Acadia and drive the park loop. Our little one enjoyed the playground at the end of the street. The home was very up-to-date and clean. The host was proactive in telling us places that may be open in the off season and responsive to issues. Definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing home and hosts!

Our family of 4 stayed 4 nights in early March, and the hosts Robard and Mercedes were so kind as to offer lots of great information on what is open and available in the area during the off-season. This helped us enormously in our first trip to Bar Harbor. The house is beautiful and stocked with everything you could possibly need. There were 4 bottled waters awaiting us in the fridge and individual bags of chips for snacking. Beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and hot water/pressure in the shower was excellent. Having a washer/dryer and a Keurig coffee maker were definite pluses for us as well. Location is extremely walkable to downtown, close to everything and a very short drive to Acadia. Checking in and out was a breeze, and the hosts were very attentive in their communication with us. We loved our stay, and highly recommend this property to future guests.

Perfect for 3 generations

Our party consisted of a 2 year old, parents, and a pair of grandparents. This place was perfect. The newly finished basement suite worked for the grandparents while the rest of us were upstairs. Kiddo slept great on the bottom bunk and we read lots of books every day. The playground within a block was a lifesaver more days than one. So close to everything in town. Our hosts were kind and had prepared everything we needed. Thank you, Robard!

Fun trip to Acadia

We had a wonderful stay at this house in Bar Harbor. It is a great location; right in town and easy to walk to all of the restaurants, downtown venues and grocery store without the hassle of driving/parking downtown. It is far enough from downtown that it's not noisy though. The house is well stocked, they even have a high chair and booster seat if you have really little ones. It is close to all of the national park attractions.

Great location and layout

Perfect location for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia. Short walk (you really don’t want to waste time with parking and traffic) into Bar Harbor restaurants, shops and waterfront and 10-25 minute drives to various Acadia points of interest. Owners were extremely helpful via Vrbo chat/messages, lots of great pre-arrival info and helpful online journal and notes for local points of interest. Property was exactly as pictured and described, worked perfectly for our family of four and we’d recommend it and would come back again. If you are looking for an easy walk into Bar Harbor with easy access to Acadia this is a great spot!

True Gem

The property was so much more than the pictures revealed. The house was immaculate and very well furnished. The quality of the furnishings was superb. All of the linens were above average. The location was excellent and all the communication with the owner was great. I give it six stars! I would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to stay here again. very conveniently located to town and within walking distance of everything. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The house was clean and updated. Each bedroom had its own air/heat unit for great sleeping. Close to town and had its own off street parking. We vacationed with two other couples and we loved this house. Nice outside eating area where we consumed many lobsters. Owners were always available to answer questions. You will not be disappointed.

Great location for a week in Acadia

Wonderful house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It is walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor. We easily walked to to the shops, restaurants and pier throughout our week. The National park is a short drive. The Acadia National Park and island is beautiful. The owners were very responsive and friendly.

Great property and wonderful location. The house is about a two minute walk to Main Street and short drive to Acadia. Owner communicated very well and was extremely accommodating (he left us snacks prior to our stay). First trip to Bar Harbor and it was great.

Loved Jade's Nest. Property is as advertised if not better. We found it to be very clean and well equipped (great kitchen with good quality wares and everything we needed). It is in a great location-very quiet neighborhood, easy walk to Bar Harbor shops and close to park. Hope to return next year.

Great Stay In Bar Harbor

This house is a great option if you are looking to travel to Bar Harbor! We were able to walk to restaurant, bars, and excursions. A bus is available to go into Arcadia National Park. The owners gave us a great list of places to explore and restaurants to try. The communication with Robard was excellent! He checked in on us and also gave us suggestions on things to do due to the weather. The house was very clean and equipped with all your needs. Would highly recommend!
