Cozy, clean, updated home located in-town Bar Harbor, a 5 minute walk from the village green.
Situated in a quiet neighborhood with a large enclosed yard, this home is a great spot for a family vacation.

Three bedrooms, one bath, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room and wrap around deck with table and chairs- all on one level, also with a basement-level laundry with washer/dryer.
There is a propane grill and picnic table in the fully fenced yard.

Bedrooms: master bedroom with queen bed, 2nd bedroom with queen bed, 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds, all have have AC units.

Kitchen: all updated appliances - dishwasher, microwave, fridge, stove/oven, blender, mixer, center bar with 2 stools.

Dining room: Seating for 6 around dining table.

Living room: large couch and love seat and chair, table and bench for computer/work area, satellite TV with DVD, high speed wireless Internet.

Note: Due to insurance regulations the fireplace is non-functional.

Early season in Acadia

The house is very conveniently located, well appointed (extra toiletries, razor, etc), cozy and comfortable. The owner communicated well and provided helpful information about the area. Wonderful stay!

Shannon Cottage

Shannon cottage exceeded our expectation!The location of the cottage was walking distance to everything in just a few short minutes. The check in process was super easy. It was clean, well taken care of and had everything we needed. The amenities at the home were perfect. The fenced in yard was perfect for our little French bulldog. We would highly recommend Shannon cottage to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in Bar Harbor.

Wonderful stay!

We have stayed at Shannon Cottage many times. It is very comfortable and well stocked. The location is perfect! It is in a quiet residential area just a couple of blocks from the town square. The fened yard is great for our dogs. The owner is lovely and provides a personal touch.

Downtown cottage

We loved everything about our stay at the shannon cottage. Barbara was very responsive.The house is fantastic, very well equipped kitchen, the grill in the backyard is new. The yard was incredible, totally fenced in. The dogs loved it, it was safe for them. The wrap around porch was a favorite place for breakfast, afternoon snacks and cocktails. The house is well maintained, the bathroom is brand new and gorgeous. The beds were very comfortable.The house was spotless. We loved it, look forward to returning.

Very comfortable house, great location!

We have stayed at Shannon Cottage 4 times and love it there. The house is comfortable and well equipped. We take our dogs and the fenced yard is great for them. The neighborhood is quiet but a short walk to the center of Bar Harbor.

Great Location in a Quiet Neighborhood

We loved staying at this cozy cottage! It’s conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the waterfront. And it’s just a very short drive to explore Acadia National park. The neighborhood is very quiet. Our pup enjoyed the fenced-in backyard too 🐶 We’re looking forward to coming back to Bar Harbor soon!

Wonderful stay in Bar Harbor

Shannon Cottage was a great home base for exploring all Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park has to offer. The house was well-stocked with essentials and kitchen gear. The fenced-in backyard was perfect for our dog. The host was communicative and helpful. Highly recommend!

Dog Friendly Ranch-Style House in Bar Harbor

Our second stay here was just as nice as our first. The house is very comfortable with a lovely, fully equipped kitchen. The fenced-in yard is great for our 50 pound lab mix.

As good as a high end hotel

This property was amazing. Yard and house was much bigger than expected. We had 4 adults, one kid, and 2 large dogs and had room to spare. Perfect location off of main roads but short walk to everything. Everything was stocked more than any other place I've stayed. Its clear the owners take pride and joy in this place.

Another nice stay at Shannon Cottage

This is our 4th stay here, I think. Have lost track. It's amazing how quiet it is considering how close it is to BH ctr. We value being able to park the car (plenty of room for multiple cars although we only ever have one) and walk everywhere in town after a day in the park. Not only close to restaurants but also < 10 minute walk to the YMCA

Great Family Vacation Rental

We loved Shannon Cottage. We have been coming to MDI every year since our children were babies. This was the best stay so far. The house was extremely clean, well stocked, and well situated for adventures in town or anywhere on the island. Barbara is a great host. Thank you!!

Great Stay in Bar Harbor

While we had some unexpected events happen while we were on our way to and in Bar Harbor we are very thankful we truly had a home away from home! Anything and everything we could have needed was at the house and a lovely treat was waiting for us from Barbara too! Having a single story worked great for the aging family members we had with us as well. Overall I couldnt have wanted or needed anything more for our stay. We will be back to stay again!
