New build 2024! Location is everything! Saltspray is on Rt 3 which is the main travel road into Acadia National Park and our beautiful town of Bar Harbor. Located on White Deer Circle where solitude is everything.
Saltspray is a new 2024 modern garage with high end studio apartment. Guests can enjoy private garage for 1 vehicle. Garage is equipped with washer and dryer. Studio Apartment has full kitchen with beautiful granite countertops. Stainless Steel lnduction stove and fridge with wine rack. It is open and sunny and surrounded by tall pines. Lovely private deck to enjoy coffee while watching the sun come up or dinner and cocktails or star gazing in the evening. Saltspray is located a straight 6 miles to the entrance of Acadia National Park. Miles and miles of trails to explore. Rent bikes and ride the carriage roads stopping at Jordan Pond house for their famous popovers on the lawn. There are 26 Mt. Peaks to hike. You can also hop on the free Island Explorer Bus which stops directly across the street at the Narrows Campground. Hadley Point beach is located just 2 miles away. This is an excellent beach for Kayaking which you can rent right there, evening bon fires or just taking in our beautiful sunsets. Sweet Pea Cafe and winery 2 mi. Mainely Meat BBQ at Atlantic Brewing Company 2 mi. Pirates Cove Mini Golf 3 miles, Great place for lobster is C Rays Lobster located 2 mi. Sunrise on Cadillac is a must. You need park passes as well as reservations for summit May 21 - Oct 2rth 2025.

Perfect accommodations for us as a couple. Exceptionally clean; if a convenient location to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor is on your list, this meets the mark. Room is well organized, comfortable and has loads of light. Loved being in a neighborhood surrounded by trees and wildlife.

Eve was very friendly and helpful in guiding our choices for both dining and places of interest to visit. The room she provided was clean and just the right size for our short stay. We had a comfortable balcony overlooking her spacious yard and many birds visited her feeders.We especially enjoyed Eve's delicious blueberry muffins (homemade). We have many great memories from this beautiful place.

Perfect place to stay

This is the absolute perfect place to stay as far as amenities offered within this rental ( we don’t like to spend the time or money going out for every meal so a kitchen is a must ), great proximity to the park and hiking trails, and great proximity to downtown Bar Harbor for dinner places. The owner was so helpful with suggestions for dinner places and provided yummy blueberry muffins on arrival. For a couple, you will find everything you need in this rental. Made a very rainy Maine trip extra special.

Excellent choice for couples!

New build designed and decorated with guests in mind! Very comfortable for long term guests or weekend get-away! Garage is available to guests and has a complete laundry center including a folding table! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!!

Our Host Eve was clear on all instructions and directions which made check in a breeze. Kitchen was well equipped, (even homemade blueberry muffins)everything was super clean & the location was perfect! Use of the garage for parking, and laundry on site was a bonus. Overall everything was exactly as written on site and other reviews were spot on. Eve went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, have easy access to her if we needed anything, while still having privacy.Gave great referrals and tips. Overall it was the perfect place & location for my husband and I. Bar Harbor & Acadia were absolutely spectacular. Would return & recommend this beautiful property. Thank you Eve! Beautiful place with great proximity to everything on the Island!

Our stay at Saltspray was wonderful from start to finish. The space was exactly as advertised, with brand new amenities and everything sparking clean upon our arrival. The location is only 15 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor and similar to a majority of the hikes within Acadia National Park, while at the same time being a peaceful wooded setting which is perfect after a long day of exploring. The host was extremely responsive to questions and provided many good suggestions for dining/activities. Would absolutely stay here again.

Outstanding Property/Best Host Ever!!!

Our host could not have been more accommodating than any host I have dealt with in my entire time using Vrbo. The property is top notch in every way. Top appliances excellent space very comfortable and very quiet. Very short ride to Bar Harbor village and Acadia National Park. It was a magical experience. I and my partner can not wait to stay again.

Quick Stay @ Saltspray

My husband and I just got back from our quick trip to MDI. I travel for work and have an office on the island and it was so nice to stay here as opposed to a hotel! The place was super clean and bright, had some lovely outdoor space, a very adorable pup in the main house :) - it had everything we needed. Because you're closer to the head of the island it's on the quieter side (which we loved). But still a quick/easy drive to downtown and Acadia. Will definitely be back!

Peaceful place to anchor while we explored Acadia.

This was a great place to rest up between our trips into Arcadia. Peaceful and quiet and clean and pretty interior. The bed was wonderful after hiking and biking. In fact, it made us want to replace our mattress at home with one like this one. And the sheets were soft. Nice sheets! Kitchen was appointed well to handle our limited cooking skills. We enjoyed the comfy couch watching tv in the evening. The warm showers were perfect for our sore muscles at days end. I would definately stay here again !

Cute and Cozy

Salt Spray was exactly as it was portrayed on the website. Brand new with great decor and finishes. It was just the right size for the two of us. The host thought of everything and there were delicious blueberry muffins waiting for us upon arrival. Just up the road from Bar Harbor, close enough for the quick trip to town but far enough away to be quiet and private. We would highly recommend this property!! Thank you Eve!!

Wonderful place to stay

We stayed at “Saltspray” Jul 30-Aug 3 and really enjoyed our stay. The location is in the Bar Harbor area with a less than 15 min drive to the downtown waterfront area. The drive is much shorter to the entrance of Acadia NP. The property is new as of this years tourist season, all new appliances, new furnishings, nicely decorated with a well equipped kitchen.. It is a studio layout built on the second floor of the garage,with one large room and a small bathroom with shower. There is a nice balcony facing the back yard with two comfy chairs where you can sit, relax and enjoy the view of the hosts flowers and pine trees. Laundry machines are in the garage below which were helpful and the garage is available to park your car. There is also plenty of space to park your car outside of the garage. Eve is the host and owner of this property who was very helpful with local suggestions for food and sight seeing. The best feature is A/C as it was hot and humid during our stay. The A/C worked great and was very quiet at night when we used it to cool down the room. If we ever come back to Bar Harbor this is where I want to stay.

This was a lovely place to stay for a week; a quiet, clean attractive and cozy place with a deck to sit out & view the garden and woods behind. Eve is an excellent host and is there if needed for questions etc., but you have complete privacy. Close to town, restaurants, Acadia, and downtown. Highly recommend! (Can't seem to load photos, but place & surrounding ares is beautiful.)

The place is so cozy! Feels like a studio apartment with a balcony looking into the woods. About 15 min from the center of bar harbor’s waterfront, and anywhere from 20-30 minutes from Acadia. A perfect place to stay after long days of hiking. Eve was wonderful, and her dog Gingersnap also said hi! Thanks so much for your generosity & hospitality!

Wonderful visit

We are not hikers but enjoyed driving in Acadia and up Cadillac mountain and just wandering. Eve’s place was exactly as pictured and perfect for the 2 of us. We didn’t cook much but the apartment was certainly set up and equipped enough for cooking. The muffins and daffodils were a nice welcome. I would recommend this and we were happy to be away from the busy town.

Great Location

This property was the perfect location for our vacation. It was outside the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor (about 10 minute drive) but close enough to enjoy Acadia N.P. and Bar Harbor. The apartment was clean, the amenities were perfect. We were greeted with fresh blueberry muffins that were delicious! Eve was great, she let us enjoy our vacation, without hovering. We had a nice chat the morning we left and had the chance to enjoy a few minutes with Gingersnap, her Bernese mountain dog. I would recommend this place for anyone coming to hike and explore without the need for close proximity to Bar Harbor.

Acadia Vacation

Our overall impression of this property was that is was very nice. We were very close to Acadia National Park and had an easy time getting around. Eve was a very delightful host and made sure were had everything we needed. We would stay here again if we are in the area!

Perfect Acadia Getaway

Lovely studio apartment perfectly located for easy access to Acadia. The apartment is wonderfully equipped with every essential and then some. Eve made the check in process easy and followed up to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The garage parking and acess to laundry appliances was perfect icing to the cake!
