A place for fun, family bonding, and friends reuniting!

Our craftsman style cabin home is one of a kind with its location, mountain views, outdoor grill, hot tub, chef grade appliances, game room, theater, wrap around porch, custom woodworking throughout, and newly updated beds!

You will be staying only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain, 25 minutes to Beech Mountain (skiing, snow tubing, etc.), minutes to hiking trails, 15 minutes to downtown Boone or App State University!

Amazing Place

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous with breathtaking views. Our family had an amazing time and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the movie room and the arcade. We will definitely plan another vacation here again. The owners were awesome to work with as well.

Five star stay!

We had the absolute best stay at Maple Mountain Retreat. To start off the drive to the home was absolutely beautiful. The house is tucked away so you feel off the map but close enough to grab those last minute necessary items. From the moment our families arrived at the house we were in awe. The house was beautifully decorated for the cabin feel you search for when staying in the mountains. On the main floor there was plenty of space to give the parents and kids room to spread out and enjoy. When you venture down to the lower floor you are completely taken back by the most incredible kid space designed. We couldn't believe all of the fun things in the arcade room, the pictures truly did not do it any justice. The room is large enough for your family to all enjoy a fun game and have a competition in the money machine. On the opposite side there was the theater room which was perfect to watch football and movies for the kids. Each bedroom held plenty of space for you to not feel on top of one another while at the house. The outdoor area was perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while sitting on the porch and the hot tub was also an added bonus since it was chilly during our stay. If you are looking for a fun time, a house that accommodates many people/families look no further this house truly had it all. Thank you Katherine for making our annual friend/family trip and unforgettable one. We can't wait to come back and visit again!

Gorgeous home with awesome amenities

Our week stay was such a great week. The house was so large, beds comfortable, lots of TVs along with movie theatre room, pool table and arcades. The owners furnished lots of extras…. Soaps, cleaning products, etc The linens were plush and plenty of them. Perfect convenient location in a private setting and everyone loved it. I would highly recommend to other families.

Family Reunion & Birthday party

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with extended family that had not been together in 3-5 years. We stayed for five nights and had a blast. The house was very comfortable for 14 people and we hosted an outdoor birthday party with another 14 people. We were disappointed to have to clean the outdoor grill & kitchen, the hot tub & the waterfall but all was taken care of within 24 hours of our 5 night stay. The owner communicated well, fixed the problem quickly and was apologetic. THANK YOU!!!
