Very nice place to stay. It was right at the ski slopes so very convenient! Wonderful views and very helpful host. We will most definitely stay when we go back to Beech Mtn!
Great location, house was spectacular, excellent ski conditions, West Bowl was open. No lift lines either side of mountain. Wind was brutal, it was awesome skiing. thanks for a great location and place to stay a few days with family.
This house is perfect for skiing walk out the door and to the ski lifts. The grandkids love the yard plenty of area for playing on the snow. Thanks for the Christmas decorations I loved them. Highly recommend.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, well appointed cabin on Beech Mtn with easy slope access (across Skiloft Rd). It was nicely decorated, clean, and had all the amenities you could need. We really appreciate the fact that this is a pet friendly rental with a wooded back yard area. Thank you to our host and the team for a wonderful long weekend!!
Cozy cabin which is the perfect ski in ski out location.
Great mountain views, super close to ski lift, can see lift from the deck. This was a great stay for our family (adult kids and our pups) The back door to the woods was easy access for our pups as well.
Thank you for accomodating all of us:)
Fantastic location for ski in/ski out. Literally being steps across from the top of lift #1 makes this location perfect for all skiers. Bedding was very comfortable (the UGG blankets are a nice touch) and the entire cabin has a cozy feel. No real complaints - would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
We loved our stay! The property is perfect! Super clean, amazing location - literally steps away from ski lift. Amazing views watching skiers go on and off mountains. The house was super clean and very cozy decorated! The bed and furniture was very comfortable, towels were very soft, house well stocked! Pleasure working with the owner, super responsive and helpful! Just loved our stay!
What a fantastic experience we had here. The owner was accomodating and made early and frequent contact with us wanting to make our stay exceptional, and he did! We love beech mountain and come up nearly every year. We have stayed many different places, but this one will be one of our definite repeat stays. I want to say thank you to the owner for a great vacation!
The little chalet is as advertised, location was great and we enjoyed our stay from that perspective. But, there was garbage in the house from the previous guest, crusted food on the silverware, plates, and bowls, stains on the towels, carpets that needed us to vacuum because of the dirt and garbage on the floor, and a window that was left open and would not close (maybe it was frozen in that position), but it froze us because of the freezing temperatures. Then all the garbage cans out front were full to capacity, and we were unable to remove our garbage because there was no place to put it.
I hate negative reviews, and the place was a cool little place to stay. But our family was grossed out and had to spend 45 minutes cleaning the house so we could stay the weekend.
You cannot beat this location for a Beech Mountain ski trip! It’s located right across the street from the slopes, specifically the top of Lift # 1, which accesses the Lower Shawneehaw trail, a gently sloping blue, making it incredibly convenient for even novice skiers. We bought our lift tickets the evening before and rented our equipment at Fred’s (near the chalet) so were able to avoid any crowds at the lodge and immediately start skiing when the lifts opened the next day. It was also easy to ride the lift back to the chalet for lunch or an outfit change in the middle of the day! The chalet was cute and cozy and offered excellent views of the surrounding mountains. The appliances were a bit dated and the cabin slightly drafty, which we’ve found to be common in rentals in this area, but we stayed warm with well-placed heaters. Communication with the host was excellent- the dryer broke the first time we tried to use it and they sent someone out to replace it on our second morning. If you’re comparing Banner Elk ski resorts, we found Beech to be similar in size and slope variety to Sugar Mountain, but much preferred the dining options around Beech. Though word to the wise, skip the tubing hill at Beech, which isn’t steep enough to make it to the bottom of the run without lots of walking, and a waste of time and money. Otherwise, great ski trip destination!

Great views and access to the ski slopes. Loved it was within walking distance to restaurants.
Absolutely amazing stay! The mountain views and seamless access to the slopes were easily the highlights of our trip. Having a hot tub to relax in after a day of skiing was a fantastic added benefit. We couldn't have asked for a better location or experience! Be sure to checkout the Virtual Tour!
Started off with the place not being cleaned from last renter. They (Josh) offered to pay for dinner which we had no plans of going out after a 4 hr drive while they sent someone to clean. That person (Joseph) arrived and claimed to be the property manager that I had spoken to 10 min earlier. However, he didn't know his own name and didn't remember our conversation. He offered dinner as well as the first night comped. He then actually tried bullying us as we were leaving by stating that we were wrong by saying the place was in "shambles" to the actual property manager he had just professed to be. He then threw a set of dirty sheets against the spiral staircase which hit one of us in the face as we were exiting down the stairs at the time.
The whole situation was very sketchy and uncomfortable. We went to dinner, which they comped. When we returned the place was straightened but by no means had had a $ cleaning which they charge you for. We cleaned it ourselves the next morning and luckily had brought a few extra blankets because they were the same ones on the nasty floor when we arrived.
Josh was asked again about the first night being comped but they declined that and said that the dinner was plenty.
No reason to argue with them unfortunately since we don't actually know who is in charge.
Structurally the property is leaning to the point someone could get hurt or potentially fall through the windows shown in the dinning/coffee area if they fell hard enough.
