We loved the Banks Peninsula and walked up the mountain (Purple Curry Track) 4 hour walk....well worth it because of the amazing view at top. So green contrasting with the bright yellow flower (broome and gorse) growing on the hillsides. The surrounding hills/mountains were gorgeous to look at with their green grass. Loved it all and would return to this area.
Went out to akaroa and had a very enjoyable day out there with the Family

You can spend an afternoon browsing the exhibits at Linton The Giant House during your trip to Akaroa. Wander the waterfront and beaches in the area.

Enjoy a round of golf in Duvauchelle at Akaroa Golf Club. While you're in the area, wander around the parks.
