Great time at Family Batcave Homestay

We had a great stay at Family Batcave Homestay. It felt like a more authentic experience. Our host was lovely. He gave us a tour with his wife, or he organized for us to visit a variety of sites in and around Battambang. Plus, the food was great. I highly recommend it.

Great English speaking owners and very accommodating. They’ll even are arrange to come and pick you up from the bus station. Breakfast is made freshly for you with great coffee. Very relaxed atmosphere and the best nights sleep on a good mattress. The bat cave is 10 minutes walk away and is a spectacle at dust - over 3 million bats fly out of one cave.

Family Batcave is a fantastic way to experience Cambodia. It's just a ten minute walk away from the batcave. The family are so welcoming and cooked us beautiful meals. Also provided fresh fruit and lots of water. The huts are clean and tidy, my bedding smelt amazing! Saro even took us on a tour of the killing cave and temple himself and arranged all our transfers. My dad was expecting a very basic stay, but ended up saying it was his favorite place we'd stayed. Would definitely recommend this place if staying in Battambang.

Saro and his family were incredibly welcoming. The homestay is set in their beautiful gardens, and you have your own wooden hut on stilts, with a balcony area with a hammock. The toilet and shower are shared facilities in their kitchen area. Saro kindly included us in their family birthday celebrations, and we had an unforgettable night! There was a tropical storm when we stayed, with a lot of rain and strong winds (several trees blew down), but Saro ensured our belongings were protected, and it didn't affect our stay. We stayed during the hottest month (April), but were able to sleep okay at night thanks to the fan provided. Food provided is plentiful and delicious, and Saro is careful to meet dietary requirements. We had the most amazing time at family batcave homestay, and highly recommend it to anyone interested in experiencing Cambodian rural living.

Schöner Aufenthalt im Homestay

Das Zimmer und das der Häuserkomplex sind authentisch und einfach wie ein Homestay sein sollte. Esaro und seine Frau waren freundlich, offen und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Lage ist sehr nah am Batcave (5-10 Min. zu Fuss), aber gute 20 Min. mit Tuk-Tuk von der Stadt Battambang. Die Umgebung ist sehr ländlich und ideal zu entspannen. Das Dorf hat einen kleinen Gemüse und Fleisch-Markt aber keine Essmöglichkeiten. Esaro hat uns einen Tuk-Tuk-Fahrer für einen Tagesausflug nach Battambang und der Umgebung organisiert. Wir würden wieder hingehen zum Entspannen und danken Esaro und seiner Familie das sie uns die Möglichkeit für den Aufenthalt im Homestay ermöglicht haben.

super séjour

super séjour de 2 nuits. découverte de la vie rurale dans une famille cambodgienne très accueillante. Saro est très intéressant et à l'écoute de vos demandes. Grâce à lui nous avons pu voir la grotte aux chauve-souris et son formidable envol ! son épouse et charmante et bonne cuisinière. Merci Saro.
