"All the outdoor furniture (table and benches) on the terrace (including the wood deck) were completely covered in yellowish dusty pollen and had
to be cleaned in order to be used. We sat down unknowingly and our clothes got really dirty from all the pollen.
The rubber outdoor sandals were only one size and too small. Iโm a womens US size 9 or 39 European size.
I had enormous trouble signing into my YouTube account on the tv, which wasnโt the case last time I stayed at a different Rakuten stay...

"Location of its facility is surrounded by magnificent and beautiful mountains with lots of green, atmosphere is totally different from big city Tokyo. The owner of pension is quite friendly, and capable to treat guest with "omotenashi" from his long experience. "

"The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple (green salad, two egg fries, bread with butter and jam, fruits, and a pot of coffee or black tea) but delicious. Personally I liked Peppermintโs breakfast better than buffet breakfast, because we ate everything thatโs served. No waste, so eco-friendly.
Another thing we liked was a nearby museum. The pension is only 5 minute walk from a nice local art museum. We visited it after check-out in the morning. We enjoyed the collection inside the...

"Like others who have reviewed Old Age, we found the food to be outstanding. We stayed three nights. Breakfast was always the same, with a nice salad, soup, and very good sausage. The bread was excellent, too. Dinner was the same both nights, but again very good, the fish dish being especially delicious.
Also, as others have noted, the room was very small and lacked space for our suitcases. The bathroom was quite possibly the smallest we have ever experienced in Japan - and we lived in Japan before and have been making three week trips annually for the past 20 years. Nevertheless we loved Old Age and are recommending it to our friends.
