The Wrens Nest an Amish Experience. Located minutes from Walnut Creek & Berlin.

Located in the small town of Farmerstown, this home is just minutes from Walnut Creek, Charm & Berlin. We offer you the unique opportunity to immerse yourself into the Amish community. The local auction house is just around the corner where they sell livestock & produce along with other goods. Directly across the street is the general store offering all your basics and bulk food. We even have a closet stocked with Amish clothing for dress up and photo opportunities! Come enjoy the simple life!

* Both bedrooms are upstairs and bathrooms are downstairs. Must be able to climb a standard staircase with a handrail.

We do have a futon with a thick mattress available on the main floor. If you plan to use the futon it is easy to set up yet heavy. I will gladly set it up prior to your arrival if you would like.

My husband and I, along with my best friend from high school and her husband, had a very enjoyable stay at The Wren’s Nest in Farmerstown, Ohio. The house was fully furnished plus had all the needed amenities to make our stay so pleasurable. The neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet. We loved our 4-night stay. Neighbors were very friendly.

Perfect home and setting

We had an unforgettable experience. The home was so relaxing and nourishing with every detail thoughtfully provided. And the community was warm and welcoming. We throughly enjoyed sitting and watching life around us, as well as traveling to near by towns. We hope to return here again. Lovely house & neighborhood

The house is immaculate and very bright and comfortable. Has a large kitchen table for games. The host has provided ANYTHING you may need for your stay. The weather was unseasonably warm so we enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying all the buggies and horses pass by or stop at the general store across the street. A perfect stay!

This house was a cute place to stay. Quiet and unique. Theres was alot of amenities. Like extra garbage bags, coffee filter, disposiable coffee cups, etc. I stayed with 2 friends. The 2 rooms upstairs werent completely private though. Had to walk through one room to get to the other. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Amish Country Charm

This was the perfect home to come back to after checking out many of the Amish/Mennonite shops in the area. Whether we were relaxing in the home, sitting on the front porch, or hanging out on the back porch/yard it was peaceful. Highlight was watching and hearing the buggies on Tuesday morning and then figuring out they were going to a building around the corner. We walked over there to find a fabulous produce market!! Would highly recommend and definitely stay again if in the area!

Loved staying at the Wrens Nest. The house was very clean and neat. The bedrooms are upstairs. Bathrooms downstairs but this was not a big deal. The owners thought everything through. Whatever you needed was there including disposable coffee cups, plastic baggies and iron/ironing board. The general store across the street was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Girls weekend

Every six months I bring my Mother (74) and Aunt (70) for the weekend. This place was wonderful and the cleanest place we have stayed at! My aunt has a hard time with stairs so just a heads up both bedrooms are up stairs. If it was in the description I didn’t read it. She slept well on the couch. Thank you for offering this lovely home!
