Beautiful rustic cabin is an oasis right on the waters of White Ash Lake. Private boat dock provides access to 130 acre North White Ash Lake located in Polk County where fishing includes Pansfish, Largemouth Bass, and Northern Pike at a maximum depth of 9 feet. Enjoy fishing, swimming, waterskiing, sightseeing, bird watching, and cruising the lake on your favorite watercraft in summer or fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating, in winter. Spring and Fall boast beautiful foliage and changing colors, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, hiking and biking the many scenic trails, the sounds of swans, geese, and ducks, as well as tranquility and relaxation. Guests can explore the Apple River by kayak or row boat and discover further lake activities by accessing the 8 other lakes within a 15 mile radius. Casual and fine dining as well as friendly and fun local atmosphere can be found in the charming village of Balsam Lake, close to the cabin. Public boat launch on north end of the lake for you to bring your own water craft.

This cozy cabin is the quintessential lake get-away for family fun and relaxation. Kiddos enjoy their own downstairs retreat with living space, sleeping accommodations, and full bath while upstairs are 2 more bedrooms and another bath as well as separate living space and fireplace. Enjoy your morning coffee while looking out over a stunning view of White Ash Lake from the living room or deck.

This well equipped cabin sleeps up to 6 and has everything you need to feel right at home. Enjoy board games, family movie nights, prepare dinner on the deck, or in the well stocked kitchen, or go out to experience the local scene with just a short drive into town.

Located only 80 miles from the Minneapolis St Paul airport.

Note: Incline from dock may be steep for some visitors. Use caution. Also shiplap log stairs to basement have a sharp incline. Recommend going up and down like a ladder.

Great relaxing weekend away!

Such an amazing stay. The firepit near the lake and the dock were awesome. The cabin itself had everything you need! Super clean and organized. Would recommend to anybody looking to get away for a few days!

Beautiful location on quiet road, and peaceful lake. Interior very clean! Caught lots of fish from the dock and saw some beautiful sunrise and sunsets! Had a family of otters keep me company each morning right by the dock! My kids loved the built in beds downstairs! Checking and communication were wonderful! My only critiques: master bed is quite broken in and had a big "hump" in the middle, the outdoor grill was kinda falling apart and certainly needs replacing, and the bench and posts on the dock were very loose and coming apart which made them a bit hazardous. Normal wear/tear issues though that could easily be remedied. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful getaway!

The lower level a godsend for those traveling with kids: feels like a real cabin, built-in beds, and a lovely sitting area looking directly onto the lake. Upstairs two spacious bedrooms, another living area again looking out onto the lake, and a full kitchen with mordern amenities kitchen

Fall weekend

The peoperty is nice and peaceful. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend and did some fishing off the dock. The house was comfortable and the kitchen was nicely appointed. We hope to return next year!

Lake House

Location is perfect for visiting family. View is beautiful from the house. We especially enjoyed the the enclosed porch with the large table. Games and meals were shared around the table. We found the house very clean and welcoming.

Great place to relax

Woderful cabin for a peaceful getaway. Very quiet and lots of wildlife (eagles, deer, turkeys, ducks...) to observe right outside the door. The eagles flying right overhead were a huge treat. Cabin is well stocked and has everything you could want for a cabin vacation.

Relaxing northern retreat

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the cabin, and were very comfortable in the home! Although my parents are in their 80's, they had no problem negotiating the stairs down to the dock, and loved watching the sun set from the bench out on the dock. Great fishing, bird watching (we saw loons and trumperter swans among many other kinds of birds), fun kayaking and paddle boarding lake, too! Highly recommend for a fun stay.

Very cozy and comfortable

We loved the peaceful views overlooking the lake. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The stairs going downstairs took some getting used to, but once we figured it out, it was no problem, even for our elderly parents staying with us.

Quiet lakehouse

Very nice lake home with nice lake view and comfortable deck/patio. Nice location with access to many other lakes in the area. The host was quick to respond to questions as we figured out the area. We enjoyed seeing the eagles come and go to the nesting area next to the house. Very peaceful and perfect for a quiet relaxing stay with lake views

Excellent cabin

Party of 6, rented for a girls week! The lake is great for kayaking. Several wineries in the area and of course the Ice Age Trail is close for hiking. This cabin is very well supplied with everything you need! Host is excellent at communicating! Would definitely recommend!

Swans and Eagles

This is our second stay at White Ash Lake. The cabin is well appointed, cozy and comfortable. We spotted some swans and eagles from inside the living room! We hiked along a portion for the Ice Age Trail and enjoyed the beautiful fall colors.

Mother/Daughter get away.

Enjoyed the property, fires at night and the AC during the day due to high temps and humidity. We are lake people, so was a bit disappointed that the dock was so high to access the water and the lake was pretty mucky to try to use the kayaks with easy access. Over all good experience and was listed accurately.
