"Loved our stay here and would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the area. The goat Bryan is such a nice person and all the staff are very helpful and good souls. "
"Lovely setting and beautiful gardens. Cleanliness of our room a notch below our standards ie carpet in our room not vacuumed, long hairs on the bedding. "
"Just a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. "Was not sure what to expect as last minute decision to stay but we were very happy with the tucked away room we got. Lovely fit out / safe etc pub food was really appreciated as well. Would stay at again."
"Not much to look at as you drive up, Very friendly staff. Restaurant was very nice, lovely food and staff and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was very nice and cooked to order. Room was basic but clean and warm. "

"We were so impressed by this hotel. Fabulous room, very comfortable and spacious. The pool was great but mostly it was the welcoming and accommodating staff who made our visit so special. They were so helpful. We got room service instead of eating in the restaurant and it was fabulous. The Operations Manager who was on firing the evening of our visit made it such an easy process and the food was delicious. "
"Very comfortable stay. Room was clean and well equipped with great en-suite bathroom. Cooked breakfast was tasty and good breakfast selections. Enjoyed lunch in restaurant before going home. Great selections on menu and well cooked. Great roast dinner options on Sunday too. "
