The Area:

Bale is a charming hilltop town in Istria, known for its narrow stone streets, historic architecture and relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. Just 5 km from the sea and within easy reach of Rovinj and Pula, it offers a wonderful balance of peaceful surroundings and access to the coast. Wander through the protected historic centre, discover the impressive Soardo-Bembo Palace and local heritage, or spend the day exploring nearby beaches and nature. With its authentic character and slower pace, Bale is an inviting destination for couples, families and friends looking to experience a quieter side of Istria.

Getting Around:

Bale has regular bus connections to nearby towns, including Rovinj and Pula. Rovinj is around 15–20 minutes away by bus, making it easy to visit without a car.
