Escape to Villa 40, located directly across from South Beach, where you can relax to the sound of crashing waves and the scent of salty air.

This recently renovated villa (2020, refreshed in 2024) offers an open floor plan with panoramic lagoon views and a peek of the ocean. With 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, it’s perfect for your family getaway.

The living area is designed for comfort, features a queen-size sleeper sofa, two plush recliners, a fresh color palette, and a 65” Smart TV. The updated kitchen, complete with granite countertops and quality appliances, is fully stocked for home-cooked meals.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, private bathroom with walk-in shower, and a 55” Smart TV. The second bedroom includes a queen bed, connecting bathroom, and a 55” Smart TV. The loft bedroom also has a queen bed, a private bath, and its own balcony with sunset views.

Villa 40 is ideal for outdoor fun. Enjoy the grill, relax in Adirondack chairs, or take a nap on the swinging bed under the deck.

Two golf carts, a four-seater and a six-seater (with rain enclosures), are provided for island transportation. Beach towels are included, along with a highchair and pack 'n play for families with young children.

Bald Head Island Club "lifestyle" membership is available for separate purchase.

If you're bringing a dog, there’s a $300 non-refundable pet fee.

One video camera monitors the garage area. Footage remains private and in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in these public areas.

Property was as described and hosts were very responsive. There were no issues and little need to contact the hosts. We would stay again, great location close to BHI club and several beach accesses. Golf carts were in great shape, some members of our family stayed elsewhere, and their carts had issues and hosts were reluctant to have them repaired. Having 2 carts was a plus for us (one 6 seater and one 4).

Wonderful vacation for a family of 4

We have a 3 and 5 year old and this place was perfect. It had everything we needed plus it was super clean and comfortable. The location was great…walkable to both beach and BHI club pool. The pool passes were worth every penny (kids 5 and under are free). We paid extra to bring our dog and he had a blast (just be careful with gators). I’m looking forward to booking next summer!

Great villa next to BHI club

Villa is in a great location to the beach and BHI club. Plenty of room for 2 adults and teenagers to spread out. The outdoor space was great too. Edie and Katie helpful and easy to work with on the booking and communication during our stay. Definitely recommend villa 40.

Great location and updates

Nice unit that is in a great location. 1 min cart ride to the beach or club. The only thing I will complain about is the house was 80 degrees when we arrived and didn't have many towels. We had some cart troubles but the PM was very helpful and able to get us a loner in a matter of an hour.

We enjoyed our stay at this home. It was adequately stocked with everything we needed and our hosts were great! Quick walk to the beach and centrally located on the island to the marina and grocery store/restaurants.

Wonderful stay at BHI! The house was convenient to beach access and could walk or take the golf cart. Also convenient to BHI Club. House was perfect for family of four and plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed the deck in the evenings!

A little get away!

Love the villas

Always enjoy staying in the Villas. Great location, friendly people, perfect size for my husband and me, with the occasional sleep over with a grandchild or two or three (our daughter and family own a villa a few doors down from where we stayed). Great communication with property managers.

Awesome place!

We had a great time at this sweet spot on Bald Head. The renters were fabulous and communicative and the property was clean and beautiful. Was exactly what we needed to have a quick getaway. We will definitely be back and would 110% recommend this property . I was also so surprised at how quiet it was on the island and the minute we arrived we felt we were leaving our worries behind.

Heaven on earth…

Absolutely amazing stay during shoulder season. Empty beautiful beaches, two awesome half carts, well appointed vacation rental w/ a view of the ocean from one of the bedrooms… just fantastic!!! Might be the most relaxing and fun vacations we have ever had. Make sure to get a guest membership at the Bald Head Island Club, great staff, great selection of restaurants and the bartenders are masters in their craft. We will certainly be back.

Fantastic Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at this villa. The roomy villa has updated interior/furnishings, granite countertops in the kitchen/bathrooms, large TVs, ceiling fans in every room, Nest thermostat, WiFi and outdoor grill. The villa is only a short walk or golf cart ride to the best beach on the island for viewing beautiful sunsets. The main deck has a view of the ocean; the upper deck is great for star gazing and listening to the frogs at night. The management team was very welcoming, informative and communicative. We would absolutely love to stay there again.

Perfect for our small family!

This was our first stay on BHI as a family (2 adults, 2 toddlers, 1 dog) and the house was perfect for our small family. We mostly used the 6-person golf cart (LOVED that it had seatbelts for the littles) and it easily fit all our beach gear and the dog. We took advantage of the BHI Club membership and had a blast going to the pool every morning and exploring the beaches in the afternoons. The house was in a great proximity to everything, and it was a lot of fun scoping for alligators from the living room windows. The house was nicely stocked, there really wasn’t anything I needed that I couldn’t find. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family!
