9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (191 reviews)
"This is a lovely facility and a wonderful pastoral location. The rooms have good beds and are very clean and the staff is very warm and friendly. The food however does not meet their description.s It is very costly pretends to be gourmet food with little taste. It’s good that the location is wonderful and that the people are friendly. It makes the accommodation get a passing grade."

The best time to visit Bakkejord is during the summer months, from June to August, when you can experience the Midnight Sun, or in the winter, from November to March, for the best chance to see the Northern Lights.

For those interested in outdoor activities and extended daylight, the summer offers pleasant temperatures and endless daylight. This is superb for hiking, fishing, and exploring the natural beauty of the region around Bakkejord, including nearby fjords and coastal paths. The Midnight Sun means you can enjoy activities late into the evening.

Winter provides a completely different, yet equally spectacular, experience. The long nights create ideal conditions for viewing the Northern Lights, which often dance across the sky. While temperatures are colder, this is the time for activities like dog sledding, snowshoeing, and experiencing the unique Arctic winter landscape.
