If you're looking for a place to be far from the regular tourist-mobbed sections of Door County, this is it. A nice cottage with amazing views from the loft-like upstairs bedroom, you can see the lake at the edge of the backyard all day, the stars at night, and wake up to glorious sunrises. Although there are some tourists which make the trek out to the Cana Island Lighthouse (about 3 minutes walking from this place), it's barely a handful of people, and never a crowd, like on the main streets of the bigger Door County towns, and you only see them as you drive past.
Speaking of the drive, you should probably arrive when it's light out. I arrived after sunset, and while not hard to find, being so isolated, it can be very, very dark. The house itself is fine and well lit, both inside and out, but you'll be driving down smaller and smaller roads for quite awhile, and steadily losing cell phone signal as you get closer. To me that just adds to the fun, but might be stress inducing for the less adventurous.
Finally, be aware that the drive into the actual main downtown part of Bailey's Harbor is a good 15 - 20 minutes away. Again, this is fine for most people, just don't expect to be able to wake up and walk down the street to Bearded Heart Coffee (which you should visit, by the way).
None of those are cons for me. In fact the only one I could maybe consider a con is that all the beds are pull-outs, which is made clear in the property description. These don't bother me, but I know some people really despise them. Regardless, everything else – the locale, the privacy, the lake right out the back door, the quiet – more than make up for it. It actually pains me slightly to write this review because I want to keep it a little hidden secret… I liked it that much.
