- Sleeping accommodations for 12 adults where all have lake views and there is bed configuration flexibility.
- Play area for kids, firepit by the shore and pets are welcome.

Cana Pointe Lake House has been outfitted to provide a memorable experience to your whole group. Floor to ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings bring the beautiful outdoors into every room. The home has Starlink internet and cable TV service, but we hope you can unplug at least some of the time. An elevator facilitates mobility between floors.
Guests have found the following aspects of the home to be particularly appealing:
- Outdoor deck with grilling facilities off the great room just steps from the dining table also includes a fire table with chairs - A separate home office as well as another secluded study desk with strong internet - An electric car-charging outlet - Dog friendly - An exercise room with treadmill, weights, and yoga mats - Satellite TVs in each bedroom and in three group areas - Three gas fireplaces provide cozy warmth or just ambiance - Indoor and outdoor picnic area and lakeside fire ring for camp fires - Kitchenette provides morning coffee, heated snacks, and cold drinks just steps from the first floor bedrooms - The “Pirates’ Dungeon” with beds for up to 5 youngsters together with 5 other bedrooms and two additional closed door sleeping areas can accommodate your group in privacy. - A variety of entertainment including corn hole, ping pong, frisbee golf - Complete laundry facilities
Cana Pointe Lake House rests on a peninsula overlooking Lake Michigan surrounded by the protected Boreal Forest of Baileys Harbor and a stone’s throw from the iconic Cana Island lighthouse. The immediate area can be enjoyed during all four seasons. Our guests enjoy the changing moods of Lake Michigan depending on light and wind conditions. Sunrises and moon risings are spectacular from every room. Northern lights and the Milky Way are often visible from the crow's nest when conditions are right.
Guests actively explore: - The historic waterfront villages of Door County offer dining, shopping, art and culture. Dining options are many. Shopping is varied. According to Door County’s tourist bureau, over 100 art galleries and studios are scattered throughout the area. Several award-winning theatre groups perform during the season.
- Our location provides easy access to all the Door County attractions without the endless summer traffic of the bayside - a difference only appreciated with experience.
Outdoor activities are a hallmark of Door County and include: - Boating – rental options on all types of boats as well as charter cruises are located throughout the county. - Golfing – there are 8 courses on the peninsula and 4 miniature golfing for the small children - Fishing – a top Midwest site for bass, walleye, perch, brown trout, and salmon – on your own or with one of the dozen charters. Ice fishing is available for the seasonally hardy. Note: A 32 pound brown trout was caught locally in April 2021. - Hiking – there are 5 state parks, 19 county parks, and numerous village hiking trails. The Boreal Forest hike begins just steps away. Note: The autumn leaf colors in Door County vie with New England in annual surveys. - Biking – through the state parks and along the rustic roads. More extreme sports include wind surfing, scuba diving the over 100 shipwrecks along the coast, and zip lining. - Guided nature walks at the nearby Ridges Sanctuary. - Taking a ferry over to Washington Island to experience where the settling of Wisconsin started. - The solitude of winter with cozy fires and the ability to enjoy winter sports like tubing, snow shoeing, ice skating, dog sledding, pond hockey, and cross-country skiing

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating with our big group at this beautiful lakefront property. The house was perfect for our needs and the host was exceptional. They were highly responsive and provided great local recommendations. Everyone had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this home for a family getaway.
We had a wonderful time! There was plenty of room for our 3 generation family to be together, and also have space to do our own thing. We experienced a blizzard and power outage. Bill made sure we had everything we needed so we barely noticed! Would love to return in the summer!
This house is just as it is described, it is spacious, beautiful view of Lake Michigan, not a bad drive to the main road and VERY CLEAN. Enough bedrooms with plenty of privacy for a family of 6. Bill is very receptive to questions and offers expert local advice on what to see and where to go. Plenty of parking and again, fantastic views and a walkable beach. Already booked for next year!!
The kitchen was well equipped for what we needed. One tv didn't work , it may have been the batteries in the remote. The rooms were nice, there was plenty of space for 11 of us.The area is far from any hustle and bustle, the lake view is gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay.
Great home to host a large family. The kitchen table accommodated large meals and family game nights. Views were beautiful and the home is close to town.
We had an amazing stay! The house was beautiful and had everything needed for our group. Waking up to the view of the lake was stunning! Our host was fantastic and checked in to see if we needed suggestions for food and activities. We would highly recommend this property for a large group. Hoping to come back again!!
What a beautiful home for a family getaway. Lots of space to gather, cook together and enjoy being together. No tripping over each other due to tight space. And the views of the lake are amazing!!! They cannot be beat.
This place hit all the marks for our group of 10 that used as a base camp for Door County adventures. It really has something for all the peeps in your group: water, space for quiet, space for the loud, cooks (inside and out), pingpong...list goes on! We are already in the process of booking it again next year.
Property was beautiful, location was great and spacious for a large group. Everyone really enjoyed their time. We will definitely book in the future. Owner was very receptive to questions. Overall great experience.
We had a wonderful long weekend in Door County celebrating my husband’s birthday with our extended family. The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our group of 13. The common areas were great for our group to spend time together cooking, eating, playing games and relaxing. Bill was incredibly responsive and helpful in planning our trip and we hope to come back and visit again!
We loved this house! Plenty of room to spread out. The location is top notch - amazing views and lots of places nearby to explore. My daughter spent hours playing on the rocks on the shoreline. This is probably the most well stocked vacation rental ever. The elevator also came in handy to bring in luggage and groceries. Owner is very responsive.
Amazing home , views and comfortable, everything you need to relax and more . Owners are very fast to respond and helpful. Perfect home for large families and if you have special needs . Highly recommend.
Our family had the best time in this beautiful home! There was plenty of space for our multi-generational group to sleep, eat, play, and gather. The views of the lake and lighthouse are incredible. The location is perfect for exploring nature along the rocky shoreline. The kids loved the swing set and lawn games, and the adults loved relaxing on the porch and around the fire pit. Bill, the owner, provided many helpful recommendations and was very responsive. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
Perfect property and location for a girls' trip. Kitchen was well equipped. Very nice open layout with plenty of choices (inside and out) for hanging out and socializing. Beds were comfy. Beautiful views from almost every room. Owner is great to deal with, is extremely attentive and responds quickly to questions. We had an amazing time! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to others.
We love staying here and are just on our way home from a long February weekend with family, celebrating Valentines Day with Grandma and my 4 kids. It’s quiet and cold in the winter, but the house is warm and cozy. The view is spectacular, and the photos don’t capture it like when you are there. We enjoy walking to the Cana lighthouse, and visiting local restaurants. I can’t say enough about this VRBO, it is our second time but certainly not our last! It’s simply perfect…
This was the perfect location for our family getaway! The house was beautiful and there was plenty of room for everyone. It was nice to have the fire pit, play set and games available for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the supplies we needed for making meals and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the views and privacy as well as the proximity to many of the spots we visited. The owner was wonderful to work with. Communication was great and Bill provided many recommendations specific to our family's interests. We highly recommend the Cana Point Lake House and look forward to coming back. Thank you!
Our family has been going to Door County for 40+ years. We had a group of 16, ages 9 mos-80 years old, staying at Bill and Monica's lovely Cana Pointe Lakehouse. The house has anything you would need for the trip. The kitchen is fully stocked (including great knives), the beds were extremely comfortable, incredible views, the house was clean and Bill was always at our beck and call if anything was needed (which it wasn't). We had the time of our lives and are very grateful for such a beautiful house and lovely hosts!
This amazing home was a perfect place to host our annual Women's retreat. Everything was clean and decorated beautifully. There were so many great places to gather and we all fit around the table for meals. Everyone said that their rooms were cozy and the beds super comfy. The views from the home were stunning and we walked to the Cana Island lighthouse, which was beautiful. The host was responsive and made sure check-in went well and that we were comfortable. There were many board games available for us and every supply needed for cooking big meals was there. By far the best place we have stayed with our large group.
I grew up in DC and had picnics at Cana Island lighthouse. To see it every day from our windows was very special to me. This house is amazing, so much room for our family, age one to 74. The kitchen has everything and more of what we needed. We even hired a professional chef to cook for us one night. Bill went over and beyond for us, putting a child’s gate at the stairs, tokens for the Ridges and so much more. We’ve been renting some great houses over the past 15+ years but this one was the absolute best. We will be back!
Each year for the past 30 plus years 10 friends gather for a long weekend to catch up. We always look for a house that can handle a large group. That means having enough beds, but also enough pots, pans, plates and the like to make it easy to have meals, and nice common spaces to spread out. This beautiful house on the lake punched all the buttons. The house had everything we needed and was beautifully situated. Once we settled in, we did not feel the need to leave the house, other than for walks, the entire weekend. Communication with the owner was easy and he texted us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. Check in and check out were a snap. We would stay here again.
My family stayed during the holiday (Dec 29 - Jan 2) and we truly enjoyed ourselves. There were 9 of us (7 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog). Very spacious home with floor-to-ceiling windows so we had a panoramic view of the water. The rooms were clean and we slept comfortably. The host was very accessible before, during, and after our stay. We brought plenty of games and enjoyed game night practically every evening. We also enjoyed ping pong and miniature basketball in the game room in the house. Unfortunately, it didn't snow a lot during our stay, however, that did not stop us from venturing outdoors. We enjoyed downtown, shopping at stores, and going to a local winery (Door 44 Winery) which was amazing! The locals were extremely nice and welcoming. We also went grocery shopping at the local Piggly Wiggly to buy groceries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All in all, great experience!
