About this property
250' RELAXING WATERFRONT SPACIOUS REMODEL & WALKING TO SAND BEACH NEW FIREPLACE
A perfect location between Sister Bay and Baileys Harbor. This home is away from the hustle and bustle of the towns, yet conveniently situated when needing last minute items or when wanting a little more activity. We just finished extensive remodel in 2018 and 2026.
There are miles of great snow shoe trails a few block from house and ski trails at State Parks nearby. The winter scape views are remarkable especially after a fresh snow. Our favorite is exploring the ice shoves along the shorelines and watching for eagles and snowy owls. Come experience "Wisconsin Christmas Pie" at off season rates that are reduced upto more than 50% summertime rates.
Spring is also a great time for fishermen to visit at reduced rates. Exciting fishing can be had from shore, or boat from late March to early June for brown trout, steelhead, pike and smallmouth. Owner is willing to share info on where to go and how to catch.
We added a new Napoleon wood fireplace to make having a cozy fire easy for everyone. To celebrate we are offering a bundle of dry hardwood free with every stay November - April, so you can enjoy. If you really like fires we would be happy to fill the wood bin for an extra charge of $30. Just let us know when you book.
WE ARE EXCITED TO SHARE THAT WE ARE UPGRADING OUR SRCEEN PORCHES INTO 4-SEASON ROOMS. STAYS FROM FEBRUARY THROUGH APRIL WILL HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO THIS AREA AS WORK IS BEING PERFORMED BETWEEN STAYS. PRICES ARE ADJUSTED TO A VERY LOW RATE AS A GESTURE FOR THIS MINOR INCONVENIENCE.
Our cleaning company is using CDC cleaning guidelines on every cleaning. We are NOT suppling towels at this time. Guests need to bring their own towels. We want you to be able to relax on your visit.
The remodeling project includes: hardwood flooring, painting, new custom kitchen, bathroom work, including 2 new tiled showers, and new mattresses. We are very excited to update the interior of our home to make it up to date and inviting.
Recently added Starlink wifi for speed over 200 mbps! That's impressive for Door County.
This property has a gorgeous view of the historical Cana Island lighthouse which is within walking distance down historic town road. It is also located next to one of the State of Wisconsin Forests known as Spike Horn, Moonlight Bay Bedrock State Natural Area and Baileys Harbor Boreal Forest, which have large beautiful hiking paths and natural sand beach frontage, all walking distance from our home.
Kayak info: The fishing from Cana Island and through out nearby Moonlight Bay boasts a lot of fishing opportunities from Small Mouth Bass and Northern Pike to occasional Brown Trout. We have 2 fishing kayaks available at the home. These sturdy kayaks rated for unto 350# person can be used for just checking out the beautiful shorelines or catching a DC trophy.
Please follow kayak instructions when using.
The home, built in 1990, has all the modern conveniences you would expect. The two sun rooms, facing lakeside, capture the beauty of the water and the lighthouse, as does the expansive deck. Both sunrooms have plenty of furniture to relax in.
The interior of the home has a foyer and great room which boasts a two-story ceiling with many windows that allow the natural light and surrounding beauty to enter from each side.
The custom kitchen is spacious and opens up to the dining and great room. It is gorgeous! Yes there is a dishwasher. The laundry room has front load washer and dryer for your convenience. Capable of hosting many guests this three bedroom home has access to three full baths. The master bedroom and bath are located on the main level as is the second bedroom and a full bath. The second level has a loft bedroom with a full bath.
The living room has a new sectional couch with new double hide a bed.
The 6 acre lot is fully wooded with majestic cedars and pines. View wildlife visiting the back yard and enjoy a campfire in the fire pit next to the water.
PLEASE READ RENTAL AGREEMENT. Note: Although pets are allowed there is a pet fee that will be line itemized on your reservation. You must include pets along with number of guests on your reservation.

House was Beautiful!! We really enjoyed the fireplace and playing games at the large family table. The view of the lake is great and awesome that they are pet friendly the pup really enjoyed herself.
What a spectacular stay. Everything was just perfect! We enjoyed the beautiful beach access, and the sunrise view on the water was breathtaking. The location is the perfect balance of quiet and tucked away, with the convenience of places to shop and dine anywhere from a few minutes to a half hour drive away. The home was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, and very cozy. If we are back to Door County, we will definitely look to stay here again!
Beautiful home. Comfortable. Relaxing. Clean. Quiet. Location with a gorgeous view. Lots of light and windows. Host proactively reached out before my stay. Responsive communications. I knew if I had any questions, I could contact the host and they would be responsive. Would definitely stay again. Recommend!
Well maintained, nicely furnished, comfortable beds, well supplied kitchen, beautiful wooded lot and area with view and access to the cove near Cana Island lighthouse. We enjoyed the kayaks, public beach which seemed private in May, fire pit in the evening, star gazing at night.Would recommend.
A beautiful location with great views and good stay, overall. We were, however, not happy with the level of cleanliness. Both sunrooms were very and we had to sweep leaves and di
Beautiful property with water view. Quiet road to walk on and lighthouse tour just down the road. Definitely would stay again! Mattresses are very firm.
We loved staying at this cabin/house. Very quiet and relaxing. Everything we needed in the kitchen and pet friendly. Just the medicine we needed so that we could rest.
We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and worked great for our family. We loved the quiet location and being able to walk to Cana Island. Chris was responsive and easy to work with- we will be back!
This is what the 'quiet side' of Door County is all about. Tucked into the side of Boreal Forest while also facing the quiet shores of Spike Horn Bay, this home is absolutely majestic in every way! Spacious, windows everywhere, large decks & porches, and the BEST fireplace situation &
Set up that we've every experienced.
Absolutely wonderful accommodations and picturesque environment! Beautiful and secluded location with gracious host.
We were looking for a location on the bay side of Door country for the sunsets but never regretted our choice as the moon and sun rises on Lake Michigan side gave us plenty of remarkable pictures in a more secluded stay!
We'll definitely look forward to renting this location again!
Wonderful time exploring Door County. Location of property was remote with a quiet beach nearby. Biked around neighborhood. Bay water very clear but shallow. Couldn’t put the kayaks in safely.
The home and location are beautiful! We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the nice weather, surrounded by the trees and gorgeous view of the water and Cana Island. Many amazing wildlife sightings, including a mature bald eagle! We appreciated being able to have our pups along with us, and my husband and son really appreciated the Starlink connection for getting some of their work done remotely in the mornings.
