"what must have a been a grand olde dame years ago has shifted to be a nice old hotel. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The parking situation was inconvenient and unusual bordering on confusing. The room itself was very large, but with mostly bare walls and unusual(?) furniture choices. Having said all that, we were pleased with our choice by the time we checked out! We were surprised to read on the website about the "enchanting" garden. It may have been enchanting once , but those...

"We had to check-in at the neighbouring hotel but that wasn't the end of the world. I didn't get "budget hotel" vibes from this place at all. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable, luxurious bedding, lovely big windows, tea and coffee facilities. Even the dog had a bed and some bowls laid out. Very impressed and will indeed stay again when next passing through."

"Good basic guest house very near to station and 10-15 mins walk from hostoric centre. You have control of the heating. Reasonable price. Breakfast (€12.50) good (standard north European buffet) but not available till 8.30. En suite rather cramped - not recommend for anyone overweight or with limited mobility. Also there is no lift (and no ground floor rooms)."

"A perfect stay in a beautiful city, location is perfect in a quiet neighbourhood and 2 minutes walk from the number 12 bus stop which takes you into the city. The lady owner speaks very good English and is a real character with a great sense of humour and this made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast was a quality buffet with cheese, hams, salami, salmon, yoghurts, jam, breads etc. and delicious coffee. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area."
