Hotel in a very convenient location, in old town, easily walkable. Lovely room, helpful staff and enjoyable breakfast. A special thanks to Ani on Reception who was very pleasant and immensely helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed one night, they were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were comfortable with noticeable upgrades for an older building. Breakfast was very good with lots of options but most of all the location to shopping can’t be beat for the price. We will return to this hotel.

We had a pleasant overnight stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, both at checkin and during breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good and well organized. The hotel rooms were clean and tidy. The location is also excellent perfect for exploring the city on foot. A small downside was that there was no air conditioning in the room. In addition, we feel that the mattresses and pillows could use improvement or replacement, as they were not very comfortable. Overall, definitely recommended and a hotel where hospitality clearly comes first!

Staff was so nice and helpful! What a nice surprise, Room was amazing. It was like we had a small apartment! Breakfast was very good. Better than most of the hotels we have stayed. The staff went out of their way to accommodate.

Really convenient hotel, with a parking garage. We stayed for a couple of days. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Rooms had portable air conditioning since there’s no central air. It worked fine. Beds were comfortable. Everything in area was walkable. Would stay here again if we were in the area.

We had some issues with late check in , but the manager and owner intervened promptly and solved the issue. The hotel was clean , well equipped and had very good breakfast. They need better system for late check in . But overall great place. Happy to come again in the future.

Cute Hotel near Everything

One of our favorite hotels on our 2 week trip through Germany. The room was small, but had a portable AC which made the hot weather much more bearable. The staff were super friendly and helpful and made us feel welcomed. Walking distance to all the great dining and shopping.

I have stayed at the Merkur a number of times. It is well priced and quiet. Breakfast is excellent. Close to buses, the Christmas Market and public baths. I recommend to anyone looking for a central hotel in the town.
