Step back in time at the Freilandmuseum, where historic Franconian buildings showcase rural life through hands-on demonstrations. Relax in thermal waters at Franken-Therme, then sample local wines at the charming restaurants surrounding the medieval marketplace.
Utterly magnificent castle stay, and the best one we have experienced in Gemany. The property is so beautifully and faithfully restored, and the whole experience was impeccable.

We loved our room (#8), the staff always did everything to make our stay warm and happy
All rooms are accessed only by stairs. We had over 50 stairs up to the room, so it may not suit people with mobility issues
Overall a wonderful stay

Truely lovely place to stay in a very small village when driving around Germany very early January. We used this place as a base for a number of days and it was lovely to return to. Great breakfasts with some local products and a lot of choice. You can also have dinner here.
Stayed in Comfort double room Type 1 which was bigger than some of the others and very comfortable with a good sized bathroom.
Everything was clean and and very comfortable plus there are some pillow options :)
