"Great location but sub standard service and the rooms are small and loud. Stayed here for one night and got billed twice (not sure if Hotels issue or with them). As I was checking out early they’d offered a breakfast bag which I said yes to, but when I showed up the next morning the person in reception had no idea and couldn’t find any. Stayed in a Standard room which was small and every sound from the room next door could be heard through the walls. Not planning to stay here again"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bačka?
The best area to stay in Bačka is typically within the Košice city centre, particularly around the Old Town (Staré Mesto) district.

The Old Town is the historical and cultural heart of Košice, known for its pedestrian zone along Hlavná Street. This main street is home to St. Elisabeth Cathedral, the State Theatre, and numerous cafes, restaurants, and shops. The area is highly walkable and provides easy access to many of the city's key attractions.

For couples looking for a sophisticated and convenient stay, the Old Town is an excellent choice. You'll find a selection of boutique hotels offering comfortable amenities, and the evening atmosphere is pleasant for strolls and dining. Many cultural performances and events also take place here.

Business travellers will also find the Old Town practical due to its central location and proximity to various amenities.
When is the best time to go to Bačka?
The best time to visit Bačka is during the late spring to early autumn months, specifically from May to September, when the weather is most pleasant for exploring.

These months offer warm temperatures and generally less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing. The countryside is lush and green, and local events and festivals are often scheduled during this period.

Families will find the summer months of July and August particularly appealing. The longer daylight hours mean more time for exploring nature reserves or enjoying activities like cycling and hiking. Many local attractions operate with extended hours during this peak season.

For couples looking for a more peaceful experience with comfortable weather, May, June, and September are excellent choices. The crowds are typically smaller than in the peak summer, allowing for a more relaxed exploration of the region's historical sites and natural beauty.
