The property is older and single story but it was very clean and roomy for families. We would stay again if ever in the area. My only complaint is 1/3 of the beds was very squeaky.

Cute little motel and cottage rental on the beach. The a/c worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the coffee pot brewed the coffee!

Perfect location easy access to the beach and walking distance to stores and restaurants. We have a house that we are renovating so it’s nice to have. Place close by to rest our heads and clean up.

The property is in a good place. Easy walk to the beach and close to stores/groceries. The staff was really friendly. The rooms were the issue. The linens looked stained, a towel was completely yellowed. The pillow cases and sheets had stains. The pull out sofa bed linens were unusable they smelled so musty. The pillows were old and lumpy and the mattresses too soft. There were dead flies in our room on the floor and we killed a cockroach. It just felt gross and unclean. The shower curtain had mildew on the bottom. The location is amazing the pier is in walking distance and great for fishing. We saw a lot of people catching red drum. We basically came back to the hotel to sleep - and sometimes eat. I wouldn’t come back unless I knew that it was managed better with new mattresses, pillows and linens.

Disappointing
Hotel in serious need of upkeep. Shades were all bent, Beds were really hard and old. For what they charged $210 a night you can get a room at the comfort inn with restaurant, bar, and pool on the ocean.

In my experience the staff was courteous and helpful upon check in and offered assistance until 9pm. I did not find anything bad about this place. It was a quick trip (Adults only ). No frills but affordable. We stayed 2 nights. I would stay here again. Pangea Tavern was close and had exceptional food. Great coffee shop across the street. I was here for a show at KoruVillage 1/2 mile away. Went whale watching (Outer Banks Paradise Cruise) and did a quick photography shoot.

We hadn’t been down to Avon since 2016 so we booked our room with Avon motel and we’re completely satisfied and glad to be back! Great location a lot of things that are nearby that you can walk to, really liked our room. It was very clean and everyone that works. There is really nice so we will hopefully be back next summer.

It was an old school Motel but it was quiet, safe, and right on the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! When I come back, I would definitely lodge there again.

The motel was clean. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens. Staff was very accommodating and even let us check in 2 hours early. The rooms are a little small and out dated but it served my familys needs.

No frills. The coffee pod was too small for the pot, so we ended up with tea colored hot water. Kind of loud at night, but you expect that from a motel with fishermen. Very clean
