Great location

We felt like this was a great place after our week in Taormina. We were able to get to Siracusa and Noto within a short drive, and we were really happy to explore. We did take the short walk to the beach once it was busy but that’s to be expected. The house has umbrellas and beach towels which was super convenient. The pool with our two kids was perfect to cool off and unwind.

Wonderful stay in Galina Sicily

This property was very convenient and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and receptive to any questions that we had. The beach at the property is amazing. Short five minute walk to the beach from the house. The drive in to the property is very narrow and challenging. /we recommend that you not get an SUV. Once you get used to the complex turns in and the very narrow roads you will be fine. The location is great for a variety of day trips which we made. We had a bit of trouble with the Wifi which was not working on our final day but otherwise everything was great.

This is a lovely property. The garden and pool is great and very secluded. The boys loved playing in the pool. The beach is a very close walk and there were umbrellas and buckets etc which helped. The property is small but modern and clean and we had everything we needed. There aren’t really any restaurants to walk to and the road is very narrow but we managed and had a lovely time. Perfect for a family with young children who want somewhere with a safe pool. The communication from the host was also very helpful.

Lovely house garden and pool

We stayed a week at Salvo’s place. We’ve had a great time. Salvo had provided some breakfast for us since we came at the place late in the evening. He als had lot of tips for excursions around Avola. Thanks to google translate we had no problems communicating. The house and garden are a very nice place to spent time under the Sicilian sun. Enough shade under the palm trees. The beach is on walking distance, the water in the sea is of the most beautiful blue I’ve ever seen.

We came in from the USA. We really enjoyed the stay. The property is well-maintained and clean and the pool is awesome.Beds work are super comfortable-great shower-and the kitchen was nice too. We found Avola to be a great location close to the highway. We were surprised that there is way more restaurants than we anticipated seeing online.Grocery stores in the area are cheap in my mind. And it was great buying real pasta and meats and the wine here is so cheap.It can be a little tricky finding the house but once you do, it’s simple. We had one smaller size SUV. There was a good parking spot. If you had more than one vehicle, that may be a little complicated.The host is super friendly. And very, very accommodating and communicates really well. I would highly recommend this property to anybody who wants an authentic Sicilian experience with very good modern amenities.

Beautiful villa close to beach

A lovely holiday villa with a very pretty garden, outdoor dining space and gorgeous private pool. Salvo was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful, providing lots of information on the local area (and a very welcome selection of local cakes and bottle of wine when we arrived). The beach is within 5 mins walk of the property and is a lovely, gentle sandy beach - perfect for small children, however it does get very busy at weekends. We could not have asked for a better villa or host and the only reason not to have given 5 stars overall is because of the general litter problem in this part of the country. There is rubbish dumped everywhere along the side of roads, which is such a shame considering the otherwise beautiful surroundings. But all in all, we would recommend the villa and would like to thank Salvo for all his help and suggestions of where to visit.

Une bonne adresse pour les vacances

Belle maison, au calme, non loin de la mer, accueil chaleureux et réactif. Il manquait seulement quelques accessoires de cuisine pour que tout soit parfait (1 seule casserole, peu de vaisselle et pas de produits d'entretien). Mais rien de bien méchant. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

…waren wir bei unserer Ankunft im Gartenhaus!! Der Empfang von Salvo war sehr herzlich und er hat uns alle wichtigen Informationen gegeben und uns mit traditionellem Gebäck begrüßt . Auch während des Aufenthaltes war er per WhatsApp immer erreichbar und hat Empfehlungen für hervorragende Restaurants und Ausflüge gegeben. Die Kinder haben den Pool genossen und am Morgen ist der fussläufige Strand auch ganz nett- schön flaches Ufer- für kleine Kinder gut geeignet- italienischer Charme- Sauberkeit des Strandes im Gegensatz zum Haus- lässt leider zu Wünschen übrig. Sehr zu Empfehlen - Ausfüge abends nach Noto und Syracus Ortigia und vor allem für ältere Kinder spannend, ist ein Ausflug zu dem Naturreservat in Cavagrande del Cassibile- ca. 30 min mit dem Auto entfernt! Nach einer abenteuerlichen Wanderung ins Tal erwartet einen ein Fluss der im Fels sehr coole Badebecken hinterlässt! Wenn man ein kleines Picknick mitnimmt kann man dort den ganzen Tag verbringen. Alles in allem waren wir nach unserer Woche im Gartenhaus alle sehr erholt und wieder fit für den Alltag. Vielen Dank Salvo!!

Wir durften 1 Woche im September in diesem sehr gut ausgestatteten ruhigen Ferienhaus mit einem paradiesischen Garten voller Palmen und schönem Pool verbringen. Der Sandstrand mit klarem Meerwasser ist in 5 Minuten Fußweg leicht zu erreichen. Salvo ist ein äußerst sympathischer Vermieter, der uns sehr gut alle wichtigen Dinge erklärt hat.

Ein tolles Ferienhaus mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. Schönes Grundstück, sauberer und toller Pool, feine Terrasse, im Bungalow ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Lovely house and pool in beautiful surroundings

We spent such an amazing and relaxing vacation at this place. It’s very good placed in the village with lots of privacy and just 5 minutes’ walk from the sandy beach and crystal clear sea. We found the house very comfortable and clean, very well planned and equipped with everything we needed. There is an air conditioner and a perfectly working wi-fi. The garden is wonderful, both in the front and back of the house which creates an atmosphere of great tranquility and beauty. There is also a very nice outdoor patio and the swimming pool is just gorgeous. The placement of the house and the proximity to the sea make it a wonderful choice for a relaxing holiday by the sea. It has also a strategic position to visit Cavagrande, Noto, Syracuse, Catania, Taormina, Etna, Alcantara, Modica, Scicli and much more. Our special thanks to Salvo, the owner, who is a great host, always present for a chat and advice. He welcomed us with great courtesy and hospitality, giving us advice on places to eat and places to visit. Every time he stopped by, he made us feel relaxed and at home. We enjoyed every day. Beim zweiten Besuch abermals traumhaft!

Im Grunde habe ich alles, was ich bei meiner Bewertung zum Aufenthalt 10/2019 geschrieben habe, genauso wieder erlebt. Deshalb hier nur die allesamt positiven Ergänzungen / Veränderungen: - der Internetanschluss ist schnell, stabil und ohne Begrenzung - der Pool ist jetzt erweitert und bietet eine Treppe ins Wasser - die Terrasse vor dem Haus ist erweitert und es steht dort ein richtiger Esstisch, so dass man dort als Familie sitzen, sich aufhalten und die Mahlzeiten einnehmen kann - die Küche ist renoviert, der Gasherd ist durch ein Induktionskochfeld und einen Mini-Backofen ersetzt worden. Die passenden Kochutensilien sind vorhanden. - die Wände waren frisch gestrichen Diese vielen Details unterstreichen, mit wie viel Liebe sich der Vermieter Salvo um das Objekt kümmert. Die nähere und weitere Umgebung haben uns, angeregt durch Salvos Tipps, auch beim zweiten Besuch viele reizvolle Ausflugsziele geboten. Grazie per la splendida vacanza, Salvo! Non c'è due senza tre. ;-)

Votre maison sans vis à vis proche de la plage

Charmante coquette maison très bien entretenue avec jolie piscine conforme aux photos. Vous avez une plage à 300 métres et pour les plus courageux une autre dans un parc protégé tout ça à pied. L'eau est cristaline. Le propriétaire est à votre écoute si vous avez besoin de conseils. Très bon accueil. Une belle adresse à retenir. Le chemin d'accès est très étroit mais on trouve toujours une solution pour se croiser !

traumhaftes Ferienhaus in Avola

Wir sind von unserem Urlaubsaufenthalt in Salvos Haus rundum begeistert. Die Umgebung: Vom Flughafen Catania ist das Haus innerhalb einer knappen Stunde gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Viele reizvolle Ausflugsziele befinden sich in kurzer Entfernung, seien es unterschiedlichste Städte (Syracusa, Taormina, Marzamemi) oder Landschaften (z.B. Cavagrande del Cassibile). Hier bietet der Vermieter reichlich Informationen. Einen kurzen Fußmarsch entfernt liegt der Sandstrand mit blauem Meer. Der Strand war jetzt zur Nebensaison sehr leer. Das Haus: Hier merkt man deutlich, dass der Vermieter sich gut um das Objekt kümmert. Es werden von Saison zu Saison Veränderungen/Renovierungen vorgenommen, so dass die hier eingestellten Bilder im guten Sinne teilweise veraltet sind. Das Haus bietet alles, was man benötigt (siehe Liste). Sogar eine überdachte Grillecke befindet sich hinter dem Haus, mit einem Gartentisch, welcher natürlich frei bewegt werden kann. In der Ausstattung könnte man allenfalls bemängeln, dass das WLAN nur 3GB pro Woche bietet (scheint viel, wir haben es aber tatsächlich verbraucht). Gegen die leider sehr hartnäckigen Mücken bietet das Haus an jedem Fenster und jeder Tür ein Mückennetz. Der Garten: Der Garten ist das absolute Highlight der Unterkunft. Er ist groß, von hohen Hecken umsäumt, so dass man für sich ist. Die Pflanzen und der Rasen sind gepflegt. Der Pool läd zum baden ein, er ist zwar nicht allzu tief, aber für Erwachsene und Kinder eine gute Abkühlung. Es ist durchaus möglich, einen ganzen Tag nur im Ferienhaus/Garten zu verbringen. Der Vermieter Salvo ist sehr sympathisch, hilfsbereit, jedoch höflich und zurückhaltend. Er sieht sich als Gastgeber und ist am Befinden der Urlaubsgäste interessiert. Die Sprachbarriere wurde bei uns mittels Handy-Übersetzungsprogramm gut überbrückt. Salvo, grazie per la bella settimana di vacanza!

Traumgarten in sehr ruhiger Lage

Auch wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten einen wunderschönen Strand- und Pool-Urlaub. Zu den schon beschriebenen schönen Details der vorherigen Besucher, kann ich noch etwas Neues hinzufügen. Die Ausstattung des Schlafzimmers inkl. Bett ist sehr neu und auf den Fotos noch gar nicht zu sehen. Auch im Wohnzimmer gibt es einen neuen größeren Tisch und neue Stühle, die nicht den Fotos entsprechen. Davon waren wir sehr angetan. Kinderzimmer, Küche und das renovierte Bad sehen genauso wie auf den Fotos aus. Salvo war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns alles gut erklärt, wie die Mülltrennung, Müllabfuhr und die versteckte Gartenbeleuchtung funktioniert. Von seinen tollen Ausflugstipps hat uns die Wanderung in die Schlucht "Cava Grande" am besten gefallen. Wir sind über den (seit 2014 offiziell gesperrten) südlichen Wanderweg in die Schlucht eingestiegen. Der örtliche Wirt hat ein paar Getränkekisten als Treppe installiert, um leichter über das verschlossene Geländer zu steigen. Vielleicht ist der nördliche Eingang noch legal zu begehen. Auf jeden Fall sind es vom Norden deutlich weniger Höhenmeter, als von unserer Südseite. Und noch einmal die wichtigsten Merkmale der Unterkunft: -Auto erforderlich zum Einkaufen und Essen (das Strandrestaurant machte schon ab dem 5.10. Winterpause) -sehr ruhige Lage (es ist sogar kaum ein Hund zu hören) -Schlafzimmer mit neuem sehr breitem Doppelbett -Kinderzimmer mit 2 schmalen Einzelbetten -Wohnzimmer mit breiter Doppelschlafcoach - neuer großer Esstisch für 6 Personen -Umfangreiche Ausstattung in Küche, Bad und Garten -sehr gepflegter Garten zum wohlfühlen -Schattiger Platz im Carport mit großem Esstisch, Grill mit Kohle und diverses Strandzubehör -großzügiger Pool mit Außendusche und 2. Außendusche hinterm Haus -Fußweg zum Meer sind nur 350 Meter -schöner Sandstrand, der relativ flach abfällt. Feiner Sand, kein Kies! Bei wenig Welle für kleine Kinder gut geeignet. Bei großer Welle auch zum Surfen super. 2 Bodyboards stehen dafür im Carport. Wir hatten in der Brandung nach einem Sturm viel Spaß damit! -gute Tipps im Haus-Ordner z.B. Deja Vu in Avola -alles ist da, was man für einen entspannten Familienurlaub braucht. Außer einem Geschirrspüler, der passt wohl in die kleine Küche schlecht hinein. Vielen Dank an Salvo für den schönen Urlaub und die Willkommenspräsente (aqua naturale im Kühlschrank, vino rosso und biscotti di mandorle auf dem Tisch)!

Tres jolie maison au calme et proche de la mer.

Agréable sejour. Salvo, le propriétaire, nous a très bien conseillé pour visiter les alentours et nous a donné des adresses pour savourer la cuisine sicilienne. La maison est tres bien située pour visiter le sud de la Sicile.

Séjour Avola

Nous revenons d’un séjour de 2 semaines en Sicile dans la location de Salvo. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Tout est réuni pour un agréable séjour. Tout d’abord, Salvo est une personne très agréable et serviable, aux petits soins pour ses hôtes et toujours prêt à donner des informations sur les restaurants ou les visites à effectuer. Ensuite, la maison avec son parc paisible et fabuleux est agrémentée d’une piscine de 8 mètres de long, de transats et d’un hamac. Des jouets sont disponibles pour les enfants (pour la piscine et la plage). L’intérieur de la maison est également très bien (mieux que sur les photos). Si vous restez 2 semaines, le ménage, le changement de draps et des serviettes, l’entretien extérieur sont effectués à la fin de la première semaine. La plage se situe à 400 m à pied (5 minutes). Elle est très propre et très agréable pour les enfants car peu profonde sur une grande distance. A éviter le week end car il y a un peu plus de monde. Des parasols sont disponibles à la maison pour la plage. Pour finir, Avola est un lieu stratégique pour découvrir l’Est de la Sicile car situé autour de nombreux sites à visiter : seulement à 1h de l’aéroport de Catane, Syracuse à 25 mn, la superbe Noto à 15 mn, Ragusa Ibla à 1h15, Taormine à 1h30 et bien sûr l’Etna à 1h30 (principaux trajets par autoroute). Par contre, attention aux moustiques qui sont particulièrement virulents. Mais bon ce n’est pas lié à ce coin en particulier. Magnifique propriété, les petites attentions du propriétaire très agréables, tout est fait pour nous passions un agréable séjour (liste des restos 👍, lieux à visiter, etc.), et le propriétaire tjrs dispo en cas de besoin. Nous avons passé 2 semaines parfaites. Tout est exact dans la description de la location, à recommander sans hésitation,merci bcp
