Close to everthing. Comfortable beds. 3.3eu to take train from TGV station to Avignon Center... took 25 minutes, including train wait, plus another 5-min walk to hotel. Took Uber back to TGV station... 13eu's. Under ten minutes.

Hotel Le Cloitre St Louis
the hotel is so beautiful and the location amazing but the rooms really need an upgrade. the rugs are a bit shabby and there was no place to plug in my computer or iPhone to recharge. at least in my room but I have found that to be so in the past. and I had no hot water in my shower.

Hotel De Cambis
Well run and decent all around. Excellent location in the touristy old town. The downside is party people are noisy so bring ear plugs. We didn't opt for the breakfast because we felt it was a bit pricey and we were happy to go get a croissant and cafe au lait ourselves.
