Excellent Communication and Views
My group rented both condos. It was perfect for our stay. The views were amazing, the golf carts were a bonus, but you can really walk anywhere on the island from the condo. Kim was an awesome communicator. Would definitely stay again!

Some disappointments
To begin with, I tried to communicate with the listed owner several times, she never answered. We arrived to find out that the provided golf cart (needed to help us with our luggage) was not parked in the proper place. We spent an hour looking around for it! The advertised pool and jacuzzi are empty, and we were told they are sinking and the repair is uncertain yet they are part of the advertisement of this property!!! There was no blanket for the master bedroom (only 2 sheets).

Linda, I am so sorry about the blankets. I asked the Island manager, and she never received a call from you. We have an entire cabinet of blankets in hall. The golf cart was in fact in the incorrect spot. Things like this happen from time to time. I was in a meeting that day and again the Island manager never received a call. she is always within 15 mins. away. So sorry and do hope you enjoyed yourself. Sometimes we are at the mercy of luck with Island items. Thanks again for staying. Kim

Fine property, but poor communication caused big headaches
We were unable to get into the property when we arrived because all of their instructions were sent in emails that went to my spam. The emails didn’t mention anything about vrbo either nor did their vrbo messages mention anything about the emails so they were very difficult to find. It was hard to get a hold of the owners (we had to contact vrbo customer service and almost had to find alternative lodging) & we almost went hungry because the restaurants close so early on the island on winter weekdays. We like walking but had a really packed schedule so it was extra stressful that they failed to communicate again about the golf cart & we had to walk everywhere. We finally got it the night before we left & were relying on it to transport our luggage in the morning but if we hadn’t kept the keys on us, they instructed the next guests to take it early and we would’ve been left in the dust. They definitely prioritize some guests over others. The internet was also out when we arrived & the patio doors were left ajar so it was really chilly and the heat’s not easy to change. Also, the pool & hot tub are completely drained & an eyesore instead of a pleasantry & the photos of the view are a little deceiving. It’s nice but most of it is obstructed. There are definitely better on the island.

The toilets paper holders were not working accordingly
It was a very nice place, clean, excellent view and got everything we needed. The only thing that was questionable is that I might had left the ferry tickets in the facility although I was told that nothing was there and since those tickets are considering cash no sure if they were not purposely returned.

Great 3 night getaway!
Four of us had a lovely stay at this home. We ate out locally 2 nights and cooked one meal at home. The Vons grocery store has everything you could want and is reasonable for being on an island! The use of the golf cart was brilliant and made our getting around so easy! We both scuba dived and went parasailing! Would like to stay again and see more of the island:)

Nice place
The unit is very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay. It is well located just a short walk to town. The ice maker is broken, the blender is missing parts so is not useable and they need some kitchen towels. The units nearby are loud and the sound carries due to the courtyard style. Also, we didn’t realize that the golf cart wasn’t kept on site. You have to walk to town to get it every time you want to use it, wasn’t super convenient.

Four of us stayed at this property on Catalina May 23rd for two nights. Since then I have tried to reach the owner because of several issues not the least of which was clogged toilets the last morning. You can well imagine the inconvenience, shock and disgust we all felt. The owner and manager knew the water department was shutting off the water and neglected to tell us. It was a terrible experience. Kim chamberlain of chamberlain real estate has ghosted me. We deserve some compensation and while she was lovely while booking, ignoring me has forced my hand. (This property has many stairs outside and inside the unit. The entire property was shabby and unkempt. )

Closer to the town then expected.
This condo was perfect. It came with a golf cart which we barely used because it was walking distance to beach and shops. They had parked it close the the boat drop off so we didn’t have to drag our luggage. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Highly recommend Villa Casablanca
We came to Catalina to Scuba dive and visit our kids and grandkids. Four adults and two kids were very comfortable in Villa Casablanca. There was plenty of room on the decks to air out scuba equipment and they were secure. The place was immaculate upon check in. We had an issue with finding the golf cart but it was quickly resolved. The BBQ pit did not work. It appeared the pellet auger was jammed but we did not have time to BBQ anyway. There are just too many things to do and see in Catalina and the food was excellent. The caretaker and the owners were quick to respond to our questions . We will stay again. Highly recommended

Close to everything but quiet with wonderful views
Great place to stay - 2 bedrooms with views of the water and the Casino from the top deck: no better place to watch the sun set while enjoying a cocktail or two! Very clean and well maintained. Golf cart was a bonus and much appreciated for hauling dive gear to Casino Point and back! Quiet - not a place for big parties, but a great place for families and to get away from it all.

EXTRA CHARGE FOR GOLF CART
After booking this property, we were told that there was an extra fee for use of the golf cart. While the property listing states that use of the golf cart is contingent on terms and conditions, I would not expect that language to imply a fee. I strongly believe that all costs should be stated up front. That being said, we had a dream vacation at this condo. Just on the edge of town, the location couldn't be better. The unit has all new finishes; it was clean and comfortable. Oddly, there weren't any pillowcases, so we used t-shirts. Use of the hot tub was great on chilly nights. We enjoyed using the pellet grill...super easy. At one point I wanted to make cocktails, and as if by magic we discovered a brand new cocktail shaker in one of the cabinets. That kind of magic can be expected from a place that has an "underwater reading room" for kids. So yes, stay here. But heads up on that extra fee.

Nice clean get-away!!
Enjoyed our stay, we arrived earlier than expected and they allowed us to drop off our bags while they finished cleaning the condo. Plenty of room, nice view, easy in and out instructions. Really enjoyed bringing our family to stay and dive at Catalina Island!!

Girls getaway weekend
Over all, the condo was great. It was perfect size and the beds were very comfortable. The entire place was updated and it really looked terrific. The reason for the 3 stars for overall rating is because when we began to settle into the condo, we tried to turn on the t.v. Regrettably, we were having challenges as there were no instructions on how we should use the remotes. Not everyone has a 'smart' t.v. so it was not intuitive on what to do. Something like this really should be 'plug & play' so that we don't have to be contacting the owner on how to turn the t.v. on. One of the owners did contact back, but he had no clue on what to do. They told us to contact the cable company, and that is such bad advice. The cable company wants to talk to the person on the account and have a password. So, that didn't work. We spent time on it the following morning and managed to figure out the remotes for 2 of the t.v.'s. This challenge really took away from our experience. We tried to make the best of it, but we should not have had to take time and attention away from catching up with each other only to figure out a t.v. remote. There should be a clear and concise document for guest to follow.

Great place to stay in Catalina
We have been staying in the other property that Kim has at the complex for a few years, it is very nice and we were very happy with it. This is the first time we have stayed in the other condo and it didn’t disappoint! The place was very clean (her properties always are), every household item you need is in the condo, plus you have the bonus of a BBQ if you wish to use it. In addition, a golf cart was also provided. Kim and her manager on the island Chela are very responsive if anything comes up. If you will visiting Catalina, you can’t go wrong staying at either condo Kim owns, they are some of the best on the island!

This condo lived up to all the listing promised with gorgeous views and easy walking distance from town’s attractions. We enjoyed cooking fish on the outdoor grill and the kitchen’s amenities were perfect for a small family gathering for my birthday celebration.

GOLF CART IS A PLUS! NICE CONDO :)
My family of 4 adults enjoyed staying in this condo and would stay here again. The MAIN reason we selected this place was because it came with a Golf Cart at your disposal. That’s a BIG deal on the island because otherwise you pay $50 an hour to rent one. The place was clean and nicely decorated. As previously stated in other reviews the 3 queen mattresses in the bedrooms are soft. If you are looking firmness this may not be to your liking. One thing that should be noted is the Master size room actually has two queen beds in it and an on suite large bathroom. The other room with one queen which is still roomy does not have its own bath, but you would use the bathroom that is down the hall and short stairway. Both rooms have a Tv in the room. There is plenty of space for dining. The condo had everything you could possibly need while staying for a vacation, beach towels, BBQ, floaty blow ups for the pool, beach chairs, games, washer and dryer. Other than spices & condiments the kitchen was equipped with dishes, glasses, pots & pans and utensils. The building itself has an elevator which may be helpful if you are carrying heavy suitcases or items. The condo also has a beautiful view. We appreciated the correspondence with the owner regarding any questions or concerns we had. On a side note so as to not cause you to be concern…… it does take a Full 14 days after check out to receive your Refundable Damage Security Deposit back if you did not cause any damage.

Great apartment
The outside of the apartment building is old and doesn’t look nice, but the renovations that they have done in the unit is fantastic. Very clean and nice with a beautiful view from the balconies. Would definitely book again.

A Perfect Home for Our Get Away!
Decent walking distance to beach and pier. Condo was the cleanest home/hotel we’ve ever been in. Not one hair or reminder that other guests were living inside recently. Chela was in contact with us. The decor and furnishings were modern and fresh. Definitely coming back to stay.

Perfect Island Getaway
This condo is beautiful and has everything you need for family fun on Catalina. The owners are very thoughtful and any question you may have has been answered in the house binder. Having a golf cart was a very helpful bonus. The views are spectacular from the balconies. The kitchen has everything you would expect, the beds are comfy, and the condo itself was immaculate. I would bring my family back again. Worth every penny!

Great place for an amazing vacation, slightly messy when we arrived
Had an incredible vacation here - the place is *really* nice and contributed to our enjoyment of Catalina island as a whole. Beautiful space, amazing views, and so many amenities to make our stay enjoyable. One thing - when we arrived at the place, it was very unclear on how to enter the house. The only way we entered was because the door was already ajar, and there were dirty towels/beach items everywhere. It seemed that either the cleaner did not finish cleaning or the previous tenant was still occupying the place.

This was a sister's trip to celebrate a 60th Birthday. Kim's place is very spacious, nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. The place is just like the pictures. Beautiful view. It is very close to town. Kim even has a golf cart which we thought we were going to use but didn't. My sisters and I have detergent allergies and I am always leery of linen and towels. It was a very nice surprise to see that Kim uses a top allergy free product. I can't say enough nice things about this place you will not be disappointed. She had thought of everything. Kim is vey accommodating. We would all stay there again in a heart beat and maybe next time we will bring our spouses along.

Gorgeous remodeled home!
We were really impressed with our stay in this beautiful remodeled home! The kitchen was fully equipped and the electric grill was excellent! The 2 bedrooms upstairs were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The home also came with a full size washer and dryer which made us feel at home. The owner stopped by to ensure we had everything we needed and she even threw in the golf cart during our stay. The golf cart helped our way around town to capture the great scenic view. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Catalina Island.

Location, location, location
The location is fantastic! Walking distance to the many shops and restaurants Avalon has to offer, yet off the main drag, offering a quiet, relaxing location to retreat after a long day on the town and in the water. The view is beautiful...nothing like starting your morning with a cup of coffee on the patio and ending the evening with a glass of wine while taking in the breathtaking view. All the comforts of home; a fully stocked kitchen of appliances and to our surprise a nice variety of spices, coffee, etc. The linens and towels were much nicer than I expect to have at a short-term rental. Kim was great to work with and her follow up very prompt. We will stay here in the future and highly recommend it to others. Thanks for being a part of us creating lasting memories :)

Love the view from the Condo !
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Condo with fabulous view of the Island. Our stay was short, but worth the trip to this Super fun Island Oasis. Kim did a great job setting us for the stay and very responsive when we asked about this and that. Highly recommend this Condo and Avalon at Catalina Island. Great experience for the Southern California feel.

Simply the best on the island
I had the fortunate opportunity to stay at this condo during my vacation with my family to Catalina Island. I felt very at home and comfortable. The host, Kim, was phenomenal, to say the least! She made our stay very enjoyable. When I come back to the island, I won't be staying any other place other than Kim's place. Thank you for everything!

Paradise at its finest!
This property is by far the nicest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Not only is it meticulously clean and well maintained, it is artfully designed and decorated. The kitchen is generously equipped with dishes, utensils, and high-end appliances. The condo itself was recently remodeled and was impeccable! It is conveniently located, just steps away from town. Kim & Craig were very responsive and easy to work with. If you are considering a visit to Catalina Island, please do yourself a favor and stay in this miraculous vacation rental.
