Hotel Atwater was phenomenal! This was our first time visiting Catalina Island. Everything from the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness, decor, comfort and general convenient location made it the PERFECT place. We felt very welcomed as soon as we stepped into the hotel. It is a newly renovated hotel that has elegance and charm, just as Catalina Island is known for. We were very blown away by all of the “perks” that come with the hotel. It was also so nice to just be able to walk right outside and have the water, shops and restaurants just right there. We will definitely be back. Thank you Hotel Atwater for an unforgettable experience!

The Hotel Atwater is a great hotel in the perfect location in Avalon. The only hiccup in our stay was that the elevator was out the entire time of our stay and with an arthritic knee it made it hard to climb the three floors multiple times a day. The rooms are very small since it is a renovated old hotel, but they are clean and very modern. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

I think it’s the prettiest hotel on this island. And the most convenient to everything. This whole area is already walkable but I think this hotel is really in the middle of everything.

The front desk are amazing Lily and Alvin are genuine, and kind and very professional, very welcoming. Definitely will return. The Hotel is very quaint and a boutique atmosphere. Very unique. It’s important to note that it’s the location that is your prize, and not the size of your rooms or amenities. Each floor has beautiful views from the windows off the hallway, and not from your room. Well worth the $$. Safe and clean. Front desk Lily and Alvin are what makes it more beautiful. Their smiles are Gold!

The hotel is well located, clean, staff very friendly. The room is a little small but then everything is. Thought it pricey, $40/day " Destination Fee" is out of line with $41.88 tax on top. Bring 2 night stay to $783.12, just not worth that. Also the bed has very sharp corners which we both caught our legs on resulting in bloody legs. As I mentioned the room is small.
