We went for a nice fall getaway which was perfect in this warm clean cabin. We couldn’t have had a better time. The fall decor was such a nice touch. It had all the essentials you need and we would definitely recommend!!

Mountain woodland ambiance with babbling creek, lush rhododendron and pines make for pleasant walks, porch sitting, and fireside cookouts. Step inside for a charming and cozy living space with all the technology, utensils, and supplies needed for an extended stay. Nearby National Forests, WV landmarks, quaint towns, and scenic highways.
The property was very cozy and clean. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions. The location was very private. We would definitely stay again.
Peaceful and well appointed cabin. Very clean and great attention to detail. Close to many state parks and restaurants as well as a couple of quaint little towns. We enjoyed our stay very much!
My family and I stayed here for the weekend and we had a great time! The place is clean, comfortable and exactly what we were looking for. The area surrounding the cabin was great to explore with our young daughter and the next to firepit was a perfect place to relax. I highly recommend!
The property and cabin where awesome! It was so peaceful and everything that I was wanting. The hosts are absolutely amazing! DEFINITELY will be going back!❤️
The stay was amazing. The pictures do not do the place justice. Very cute, cozy cabin with great views. The check in process and check out process was very easy. The owners stay in contact with you throughout the stay. Would totally recommend. We look forward to staying here again.
We loved this little cabin. It was really well thought out and even decorated for the season. There were a lot of nice details. The property is beautiful. We loved the fire pit! All of the communication with the owners before, during, and after was fantastic. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a cozy little spot in the area.
This is such a charming place. Well stocked. There's a creek and woods to explore with a fire pit, which we used every night. We spent most of our time at the cabin because we loved it so much. Perfect place to go for some peace and relaxation. Very pet friendy.
We would give this place 6 stars if we could. Amazing spot, close to all we wanted to do with hiking, off-roading, and great spots in Davis and Thomas. They even have a little basket with stuff for your pups which just made us really appreciate the thoughtfulness. The property is AMAZING! Creek, natural space, just awesome. They even have bundles of wood on site for 5 that made it convenient for fires at night. We’re going to be making at least and annual trip here moving forward. Loved everything about it.
My husband and I took our son here for our first family trip. The cabin was very cozy and decorated for fall. We loved it. We appreciated the kitchenware and were able to cook dinners while we were there. We loved the outdoor portion of the property. It was much larger than we expected. We also enjoyed using both of the fire pits while we were there. Overall, we had a great stay and hope to return again in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin with our dogs. The property is every bit as beautiful as described and the owners have done a great job providing their guests with ‘extras’ you didn’t even think you needed. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs on the fire pit, strolling down to the stream, and just sitting on the porch enjoying nature and quiet. We took day trips to see Blackwater Falls and Deep Creek Lake. If you are a fan of nature, this cabin is the perfect choice!
The cabin was so quaint. Very well stocked kitchen. Centrally located to Black Water Falls and other attractions. The host spent a lot of attention to detail. Nice unexpected amenities. Awesome place to relax and reconnect with loved ones. Will be back for sure.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Creekside log cabin. The cabin was unique, very clean, and our communication with the hosts was top notch. Enjoyed sitting down by the creek and listening to the water come through what appears to be old mill ruins and also enjoyed using the fit pit at night. All in all, we had a great stay. The only downside is that the cabin is not far off a busier road, so you do hear traffic a bit at times.
We wanted a little getaway for our anniversary and the cabin and area were perfect. Friendly people and wonderful nature right on the property and gorgeous waterfalls 20 minutes away. Cabin was clean, warm and had everything. Host Michael got right back to me on a question I had. Beds comfy and so peaceful. So cute inside. Location close to a lot of scenic little towns and Deep Creek, MD. Convenient stores nearby had a great selection of items and breakfast of buckwheat pancakes at restaurant 5 minutes away was great! Perfect stay for us.
We had a nice weekend stay. Cabin was as advertised, communication was clear and helpful, rooms and amenities were comfortable and modern. There are fire pits for grilling and/or evenings and an outdoor picnic table. Also a short path to the creek offers a small walk through the woods. You're closer to the road than I expected, the turn-off is a basically a driveway, and there are neighbors visible through the trees (so not totally secluded). It's also pretty buggy--hosts provide bug spray, though, which helps! Small quibbles aside, we enjoyed the cabin and would recommend to others.
Finding somewhere to go on vacation with our 2 big dogs AND 2 teenagers can be difficult, but we found this gem last summer and knew this was going to be the best summer spot every year going forward!
It didn't disappoint again!!! We can go to the towns nearby, or sightseeing to some beautiful areas too! Our teenagers can roam around the woods, play at the creek, the dogs can be off leash, there is wifi if needed, 2 fire pits, a grill to cookout, heating and cooling indoors, a clean cabin stocked kitchen, 2 different hammocks, and waking up to a sunrise with the sound of the creek after star gazing the night before!
We loved our stay, cabin was everything we were looking for, the lot was woodsy, with creek in backyard our dogs enjoyed every minute of exploring and swimming! Very remote area, we packed everything we needed for food and our weekend, but there is a dollar general in town for other needs, otherwise you have to drive 20+ min from the cabin for the next town over. No neighboring houses viewable from the yard, feels very private even though houses are near by. Loved, loved loved it! Location was also ideal for traveling to blackwater falls, and we ventured over to MD for a day trip, couldn’t have been happier with this selection and location, it was exactly what we were looking for! Plus the owners were very friendly, and accommodating with our check in time!
The cabin was small, but clean and cozy.
I was amazed at how perfectly it was organized and decorated. They had just the exact amount of everything. Nothing was chintzy or old.
I wondered if one or both of them were designers.
The outside was also lovely, with a lighted gazebo and a bench overlooking the creek.
It was really nice to be able to take our dog too.
We had a nice time walking her and taking her to the creek.
This place is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors. There are lots of waterfalls and hiking trails nearby.
There’s not a lot else to do; but we found two good restaurants nearby.
First time using Vrbo and was unsure of how it worked. I booked the cabin on short notice and it was More than what i had expected. The place was spotless and bigger than I thought it would be. I packed a lot of extra's I didn't need. The creek was perfect to walk in to get cooled off and my dog enjoyed it too. They even had wi-fi to connect to. I will not only come back but tell everyone I know that wants a nice calm relaxing vacation about it. close enough to black falls and the great little shops. If I could I would give it a higher rating than 100% I would do it!
At first we were hesitant due to the total for two nights, three days. When we arrived though, the level of thoughtful hospitality was worth every penny. As someone who works in a customer focused job, Mike & his wife went ahove and beyond. The last place we stayed in WV was only a little shy more than what we paid for this cabin, but with 0% thoughtfulness to it's customers in terms of basic amenities. Mike & his wife add thoughtful touches in every room. In the living room, dog bowls, dog treats, potty bags for the dogs, and even a ball for dogs to play with. In the kitchen, a fully stocked coffee/tea bar with cream & sugar, three full ice cube trays, and anything you might need. They have pots, pans, utensils, olive oil, Pam, salt, pepper, condiments (that are not expired!). The bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, plenty of towels, a non-expired first aid kit, and a shower that doesn't lose hot water. The TV actually works, and is set up with satellite TV. As well, they consistently checked up on us to ensure we were alright. Even when we left, our car battery died & Mike came to help us out. If the beautiful creek, woods, and adorable cabin don't convince you, the amazing hospitality and customer service, and love for dogs, will.
This cabin was exactly as described. The area is remote with room to explore the property. There is no cell signal but there is quality WiFi if needed. The creek behind the cabin was cool. Our dogs were able to roam and we all enjoyed our time outside. The outdoor furniture could have been a little more comfortable but I saw the pictures beforehand so we brought our camping chairs. The cabin itself was cozy. We used the kitchen the whole time and it worked out nicely. I appreciated the small touches that included the dogs (ie: treats, dog towels and blankets, and just a generally dog friendly space). The bed was not the most comfortable but met my expectations. The interior of the cabin was very clean and neat. The contact I had with the owner was exactly the right amount…helpful but not overbearing. Overall, we would definitely return to be able to get away with our dogs.
