"This is our second stay. When they say 1 step above camping that is misleading. By that I mean, if you have camped, this is 20 steps above camping. You have a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. It has a screened porch, a deck and right on the pond. There are lights and outlets to charge phones and there is service for phones! This is better quality then most hotels for the money with the exception of no running water and outside (clean) bathroom. So, if you see this and you are...

Located right on the ocean, the views are spectacular and we enjoyed every minute we spent here, taking in the sunrises and watching the lobster boats in Frenchman's Bay. We loved staying in Hancock, which is a nice distance from all the places we love to visit when in Maine Chippers Restaurant is right down the road and my husband enjoyed the Lobster Alfredo immensely. "The house was perfect for our lakeside getaway! The house is very well maintained, clean and spacious- there were 2 more full/queen beds in the loft. There were plenty of amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. The welcome book had plenty of recommendations for local restaurants and hiking close by. The view is stunning, the access to the lake is perfect and allowed us to take advantage of kayaking, boating, and just taking in the beautiful surroundings on the deck. "Great place to stay, a bit hard to find at first because it is behind another house but once we figured that out, we fully enjoyed the place. About 30 minutes from Bar Harbor but with traffic, sometimes closer to an hour. Very clean, had everything we needed. Would highly recommend if you are in the staying in the area."
