"My husband, 15 month old daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Mellow Yellow! The best week of our year so far. We enjoyed dinners on the back porch looking out over the lake and reading by the firepit in the evenings. The cottage is in a great location for exploring- we hiked, kayaked, went to lighthouses and wineries. Debbie was such an accommodating host. We hope to be back!"

"It was wonderful. We were there for a family function not far away, so we were not there for the entire day. Also, keep in mind when you look at my review, I knew before-hand that there was no central air and that we shared (2) bathrooms with others on our floor (3rd floor). Our stay was during August that had 90+ degree days. We had a window air conditioner and a fan in our room that was more than adequate to cool our room in a short amount of time. We would turn off the air conditioner when we left for the day and when we returned, it would take about 10 minutes to cool the room. Due to the fact that they had 2 bathrooms available, there was only one time (in the morning) that I had to wait, no more than 10 minutes, to use the bathroom. The beach is so nice. Lots of beach chairs there to use.Children played and swam while we watched. There is a raft not very far out that they played on. A teatherball set and the firepits made the beach area complete. Up at the hotel, they had many chairs and porch rockers on the outside porch that faced the lake. Inside, they also have a "game room" with, as I remembered, a shuffle board table, pool, pingpong and fooseball. I think that there may also have had board games available. What a great area for non-video family fun. We had a beautiful stay and plan on returning next year."

"We had a great stay at this vacation rental! The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and even better than the photos. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the house had everything we needed — we truly wished we could've stayed longer. While the steep driveway was a bit of a surprise at first, it quickly became a non-issue. We even spotted a mama turkey and her baby wandering the property, which was such a sweet touch. The location was ideal — centrally situated on the peninsula with easy access to Suttons Bay, Northport, and Traverse City. The management team was also fantastic, responding quickly to the couple of questions we had. All around, a perfect getaway!"

Although we initially had trouble accessing the unit due to unclear instructions, once we got in, everything was fantastic. We truly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful touches throughout. We’re definitely planning to come back! "
