This comfortably furnished home with 2 beds and 1 bath is located close to the Augusta National and the medical district. There's are queen beds in both bedrooms. The updated kitchen features new appliances, there's a covered front porch, a fenced yard, and the most comfortable beds you'll ever sleep on. The home is located close to shopping and restaurants and is less than 5 miles to downtown Augusta and the medical district. Pets welcome with $40 fee per pet.

Tuxedo Park is an older established neighborhood located approximately 5 miles from downtown Augusta and the medical district, 6 miles from North Augusta, and less than 4 miles from the Augusta National where the annual Masters Tournament is held each year in April. Wood park is located in the neighborhood and dogs are welcome.

Guests have access to the entire property with the exception of a locked owner's closet. This includes a flat back yard with a fenced yard. There is parking for 1-2 vehicles in the driveway and additional parking on the street. Access is provided via a smart lock with a personal code that will be shared prior to check in.

  • Home of Freeman Walker, outstanding citizen of early Georgia. Born in Virginia in 1780, he came to Richmond County in his youth and studied law. Freeman Walker, in 1826, deeded 70 acres of land to the United States Government to be used as an arsenal-the site now of the Junior College of Augusta. He reserved one acre as a family burial ground, known as the Walker Cemetery. He was the father of Maj. Gen. W. H. T. Walker, CSA. Admitted to the bar in 1802, he followed a life of public service; City Attorney for three years and Mayor of Augusta 1817-19, being the first to hold the city´s chief executive office under the name of Mayor, and Brigade Inspector of Gen. Great location and very clean!

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The house had everything I needed and was very clean. The check in process was simple, and my dogs liked the fenced yard. The house is centrally located and a short drive from shopping and several food options.

Smoke infested

During the Masters Tournament, we rented this home through VRBO. The property’s proximity to the course was very convenient. However, upon arrival, we were immediately overwhelmed by a strong odor of smoke. We endured the first night and promptly contacted the owner the following morning, expressing our concerns. The owner quickly responded and assured us that “hospitality” would intervene. We did not receive any communication from hospitality until the representative arrived as we were getting ready to leave for dinner at 7 PM. The representative promptly identified the odor as resulting from the self cleaning oven. As a social worker who has made multiple home visits over the years I can assure you the odor was the result of decades of cigarette smoking which has seeped into drywall, attic, flooring, etc. We were offered an alternative rental within the VRBO network which we graciously accepted. Unfortunately we were later informed that the new rental was no longer available. With our luggage packed, we decided to skip dinner and drive back home-a 3 hour drive. This marked our first negative experience with VRBO. The owner did refund our money which we appreciated. Overall, the house was well appointed, clean and visually identical to the photographs. The shower had hot water, but the pressure was extremely poor. Our recommendation is to obtain assurance from the owner that the smoke issue has been professionally remediated prior to booking.

Great little house

This house was absolutely perfect for our trip. It was very clean and well supplied. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The house is renovated and decorated nicely. Overall it was an awesome stay for us and would 1000% stay here again.

This was a very comfortable home for our small family. We were unexpectedly in Augusta for several weeks and came across this available home and we are so thankful it worked out for us. It was beautifully fixed up and supplied mostly everything we needed during our 8 night stay. Very quiet neighborhood close to Augusta University. Any issues we had were rectified the next day. The owners were always accessible and answered any questions or concerns we had right away. Highly recommend this property! We would definitely stay here again.
