Not for everyone - definitely not me!

Booked since it was across the street from a venue where I was going to see a show. That was probably the best thing about this stay, proximity to the venue. Customer Service? Non-existent. Power went out 2x, reached out via text and phone and no response - still! They claim limited availability for assistance but I NEVER saw anyone in the 2 days I was there. The neighborhood is very seedy, homeless people bothering you for money and drunks/addicts staring you down all around the bus & train stations across the street - just a general feeling of not being safe if you wanted to go out at night. Toilet paper ran out both days, no paper towels/hand towels in the bathroom - basically they collect your money and you're on your own, regardless of how the stay is going. If you need to reach them and communicate an issue, don't bother because they don't reply (there was another guest who was getting angry because he couldn't reach them either, wasn't just me). They clearly don't care about anything except taking your money.

Slamba hostel is located in a busy street with tram (rail publictransport) stopping infront. That makes the rooms (located at front) noisy till late at nigth. Rooms have no airco so windows are used for ventilation and cooling. Tv has no international channels. The hostel is in a vibrant part of Augsburg above KFC and with plenty of food and bars on walking distance Beds are very soft but clean.

Ich habe KEINE PIN zum Eintreten erhalten, um 16.30h war auch niemand da, um mir zu ƶffnen (die Klingel war abgeschraubt und die TĆ¼r verschlossen), ans Telefon der angegebenen Nummer ging auch niemand und bezahlte hatte ich bereits. Eine UnverschƤmtheit und ich musste nun in einem anderen Hotel unterkommen mit Mehrkosten!

System wie asiat. UnterkĆ¼nfte im Stil "Chunking Mansion". Nur ohne immer anwesendes Personal. Beim Eintritt in das Zimmer begrĆ¼ĆŸte mich ein sĆ¼ĆŸlich-scharfer Geruch nach dauerhaft ungewaschenen Kƶrpern von Mitbewohnern, die es ungeziehm fanden, ein Fenster zu ƶffnen, um den die Nacht Ć¼ber vorherrschenden latenten Brechreiz aus dem zimmereigenen Hors Deuvre menschlicher Duftnoten zu unterdrĆ¼cken. Das ansonsten in allem Pflichtbewusstsein ordentlich gepflegte Etablissement konnte deswegen nicht Ć¼berzeugen. Ebenso nicht das bereitgestellte Handtuch, das man ungern vermissen wĆ¼rde. Es fehlte definitiv die Mƶglichkeit zum AbschlieƟen des Spindes/Schrankes. Alles in allem tauchte Begriff "widerlich" tauchte nur einmal in Gedanken auf.

Clean good hostel but noisy neighbors

I stayed in the single room. The hostel is in a great location, close to the train station and tram stop. The hostel has friendly staff and itā€™s clean and comfortable. However in the same courtyard as the hostel is a loud club with parties deep into the night, complete with noisy guests that like to do after parties in the parked cars under your balcony. So if you stay here be sure to take earplugs. Otherwise perfect besides the doorbell not working.
