"This was just what we were looking for. We especially loved the beach area. It was so nice to be able to sit in the shade close to the water while the kids swam! Our cabin was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The only downside was not having air conditioning. The day we arrived it was 95 degrees outside! But there was large fans for every room and that sufficed for us. All in all we would definitely stay again!"

Top Au Train Hotel Reviews

Pictured Rocks Inn & Suites

8/10 Good

"Helpful staff"

Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Munising

10/10 Excellent

"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel. The room was clean and linens fresh. The beds were comfortable and provided enough warmth. Check in was quick with staff friendly and professional. The bathroom was clean but a little wear and tear, but nothing that influenced our stay. It was incredibly quiet. We heard no one above or next to us. There was plenty of parking available. The breakfast was standard for this level of hotel and started at 7AM rather than most that start at 6AM. I did not use the pool or hot tub so can't speak to those. The only complaint was the blow dryer stopped working after a few minutes. Not sure if it needed cleaning out(dust). I tried resetting the auto-off button, unplugged/plugged back in and let it cool down, but it still wouldn't start up again."

Cottage #4 on AuTrain River Near Lake Superior Beach, Pictured Rocks, Waterfalls

10/10 Excellent

"This was such a cute and cozy cabin! It was perfect for my husband, myself and our dog. The place was very clean, the location was perfect and the surrounding cabins were all quiet. What a great place to come back to at night after our UP adventures! LOVED IT!!"

Lake Superior Lodge w/Private Lakefront Large Deck, Island Views, Pictured Rocks

10/10 Excellent

"My family (6 adults & 3 dogs) stayed this weekend. I wanted:On Lake Superior3 baths 4 bedrooms (is 5 bedrooms)4 beds (is 6 beds)Pet-friendly (perfect)FirepitCleanFall colors (perfect)The family (including the fur-babies) instantly liked the place. There is the side yard, backyard, and then big rocks into Lake Superior. What is spectacular is the deck; which is huge! There is lots of space for 6 adults and 3 big dogs. There are 3 tables with chairs & nice sized propane grill. It was so relaxing watching the sun rise/set on the deck while relaxing, grilling, and having some laughs. We were chilling by the firepit by 10pm quiet time. The dog had so much fun & had lots of room to lounge.VRBO description points out not being wheelchair acceptable; which is 100%. There are multiple steps to the front door and deck, along with inside between floors. If you struggle with multiple steps and/or have young children, you must take this into account. Adults also will have to keep a close eye on the kiddos due to the slippery rocks and lake being so close. We were unaware certain items not being available. VRBO location's supplies differ. There was one kitchen towel/wash cloth, minimal spices/condiments, no Ziploc bags, etc. In a way, I do understand no food products being supplied for health reasons. Not a big thing, we just now know for the next visit. I had a few questions for the host, and he responded promptly prior to and after the visit. Thank you, Cory!!"

"The house was wonderful it had everything you could possibly want or need. My husband was complaining we had not brought any scissors but I found some in the silverware draw. The beds were comfortable and the living room furniture was so comfortable We are planning another trip up and we will definitely book here to stay again"
