2-Bedroom house nestled 300 ft off the main road makes the perfect location for you to unwind. Enjoy a peaceful setting, but yet just a short drive to MTU, ski hills, Lake Superior, the historic Red Ridge Dam, and the snowmobile trail. The creek in the backyard has been known to hold a few brook trout.
There is high speed fiber internet with WiFi.
The 2 bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. There is also a pull out couch on the main level. The kitchen is well stocked.

Great Property

This listing had an excellent space to stay. The house extremely clean, all amenities needed, and plenty of parking for a snowmobile riders! The owners of the property are very accommodating as well.

Winter Carnival

Nice, clean cozy place on the outskirts of town. Driveway was plowed each day nice quiet country setting. I’d definitely recommend and stay here again

Great location near MTU

Stayed here during move in- student is living in South Range and this is close to the house and campus. We would choose this location again.

Snowmobile stay

Perfect property for a get away for a snowmobile weekend. Clean, cozy, and comfortable. Not too bad to ride to the trails right from the property.Overall a great experience.

Perfect for MI Tech student's family

We came up during move in weekend. This location & setting is perfect. Not too far from the chaos, but just far enough for a peaceful retreat. Everything was great- this will be our go-to home for future visits!

Wonderful visit

This has been the nicest place I've ever stayed in. Very clean, neat, quiet, convenient, peaceful and comfortable. I hope to bring my mom back to the UP in 2026 for another visit. The check in and check out was easy and quick. If you love the area, this is recommended 100 percent!

Farmhouse Vacation Home

We absolutely loved this house. It has your privacy and space, but yet close to the towns. It is easy to get to and the house is spacious and clean. We grilled out and had bonfires. It was our 6 month old first family vacation. We definitely will be booking this house again in the near future.

This property and stay were perfect for our family with one 3 year old son. It was quiet, neat, clean, spacious, and we were extra thankful for the air condition unit in the upstairs area where we slept. The living room space was large and we were able to relax, watch tv (cartoons for our son) each night after having visited family and friends all day. It was the perfect, peaceful place to stay at a reasonable price. We had the added bonus of seeing a deer and a cute rabbit that visited daily.

Owner was flexible when I needed to change dates. Very clean and comfortable space, well-equipped kitchen. Deer feeding in the field, cozy firepit.

Great place to stay!

The house was excellent. Its very clean and well stocked with all the dishes and pots n pans you could need. It even had a Keurig and a regular coffe machine! The beds were comfortable and had extra sheets and blankets in each bedroom. It even had a stand fan in 1 of the bedrooms. Nice deck and seating outdoors on the deck for 6 people. The firepit was great and had a couple of benches to use while enjoying a fire. The firewood he supplied was kept dry in a deck box. Great idea! We wete visited by sandhill cranes everyday too as you can see in the piture.

Beautiful

The pictures do not do it justice. The place was very clean and quiet. Deer almost every evening! Centrally located for travel and exploring the Keeweenaw. Only down side was no washer and dryer. We would differently stay again.

Lovely country stay

Beautiful property outside of Houghton with lovely outdoor seating to enjoy nature. House was very clean and well equipped. You are a bit out of town. The listing says Atlantic Mine, but it seems more like Liminga area so plan to drive 15 minutes to restaurants and groceries. The exception was Schmidt's Corner which is 2 miles away and good for dinner and drinks. Overall enjoyable stay.

Nestled in woods

A charming retreat nestled in the woods, surrounded by pristine nature and serene beauty. We were delighted to spot deer, eagles, rabbits, and owls, which made the experience even more magical for the kids. While photos can’t fully capture the essence of this place, its natural beauty and the immersive wilderness truly made it unforgettable. The place was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, and Mark was quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quick getaway in the UP!

Loved being in the country

We had a wonderful time. We saw plenty of deer and some cranes. House was very clean and the shower was amazing. Only issue we had was ceiling going up stairs was a bit low and the bedroom got very warm however at no fault of owner as it was unusually hot with temps being in the 90s which is not common. We loved how peaceful it was and was nice to sit on the deck and just relax. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return

Truly a quite stay

I've stayed in many short term vacation type rentals. This was over all the most quite I've experienced so far other than afew passing cars it was basically just the sounds of nature. Other than accidentally tripping a breaker we had no issues with the house and Mark had it fixed before we retured for the day. Spectacular view of the Qunicy mine in the far distance. We were only disappointed about the little stream out back being too overgrown to fish as it didnt get super dark out til after 10pm. We try to avoid watching tv when on vacation so it would have been nice to find a boardgame or deck of cards but everything else we needed was available plentiful cooking utensils and gadgets bath towels and such. Would rent again if we ever come to the area and its available as its seemed to be a good cental location to get around the area.
