"We treated ourselves to room service one rainy night and it was great. The housekeeping staff was attentive and professional, one young woman offered to help get my bag upstairs!

"The house is advertised as having a “Pool with tennis and hot tub,” but not one of those facilities were available during our visit. Granted, the fine print states that the pool and tub are for the summer only (like who needs a hot tub in the summer?), but we specifically inquired about the tennis in advance and were told it was ready. Imagine the disappointment of my tennis-loving family when we discovered that the court was unplayable! The surface resembled a sand pit and was not at all serviceable. Had we known beforehand that was the case, we would have booked a different property closer to the beach. We brought this to the attention of the managing agent but, even after multiple attempts, they did not provide an adequate response. Renters beware!"

We were quite disappointed for the price I paid. The house hadn’t been lived in, with a musty smell throughout. The master bedroom shower was broken, the open fireplace didn’t work, and several lights were out. To top it off, there was a dead deer in front of the garage. Overall, the house felt poorly maintained and didn’t live up to expectations. Would not recommend."
"A room at the Beach has amazingly cute grounds perfect for Instagram moments. It is NOT at or by the beach though. It is a beautifully renovated property on the Hamptons highway across from a public school. Most rooms are very small. Price is very high. It’s about 1 block 1/2 from the village center, which is very nice. While the room itself was not noisy, you can definitely hear traffic from the front porch of the rooms and front grounds. "
