Ottima posizione e accoglienza familiare!

Ottima posizione di fronte alla spiaggia di Livadi, con una comoda terrazza a livello piena di fiori e molto curata dove fare colazione o sorseggiare un ouzo la sera a lume di candela (che veniva accesa dal personale ogni sera!). La cucina dello studios era ben attrezzata e la proprietaria, gentilissima, spesso ci regalava dei dolci fatti in casa o della frutta fresca. Lei e il marito ci sono anche venuti a prendere alle 2 di notte al porto nuovo e ci hanno accompagnati la mattina del giorno della partenza regalandoci un barattolo di marmellata di limoni fatta in casa. Anche se parlavano solo in greco (niente inglese!) trovavamo sempre un modo per capirci sulle cose fondamentali! Peccato per la lingua perché avremmo potuto usufruire meglio dei loro servizi (la loro famiglia ha anche un'agenzia di viaggio, una barca che fa escursioni alla isole vicine - da non perdere - e un ristorante nella zona del vecchio porto Pera Gialos). Unica pecca: la nostra camera (n.14) era laterale a piano terra e confinava con la cucina di un ristorante, per cui l'odore delle braci era spesso frequente. Resta in ogni caso un'ottima soluzione in termini di qualità prezzo. Un consiglio: se non trovate auto o scooter da noleggiare, che sono rare ad agosto in tutta Astypalea, non vi avvilite ... la fermata del bus è vicinissima ed è una esperienza da non perdere, un teatro vivente!
