We stayed at The Victorian Secret for 4 nights while attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. We'd highly recommend it.
The location can't really be beat. Unless you find a way to sleep on stage, you probably won't find many places closer to the theaters. The house is on a street just as you enter town, so it's maybe 150 feet to the main throughway, 2 minutes to Lithia Park, and about a 5-minute pleasant walk to the theaters themselves. It's convenient as well for shopping or if you want to eat out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The house is a charming Victorian that is well decorated and pleasant. There are two bedrooms with queen beds upstairs, although one has an alcove where another person might sleep. There is a driveway, so you can park your car off the street. They've decorated in a way that preserves the Victorian charm but also has modern fixtures and electronics. We had four people in our party and spread out comfortably.
The house has all kinds of amenities. Wi-fi is included in the price and was speedy and easy to set up. The kitchen was well-equipped and had a number of basics like spices (you might want to double check before going to the grocery store to stock up). There are flat-screen LCD TVs with cable or satellite TV.
One note: This is a real Victorian home, so there are steps to get in and the stairway upstairs is a little steeper than a modern home. You'd probably have the same issue with most homes in Ashland, but if you have mobility limitations you might want to do a little more digging.
The Victorian Secret is an excellent choice for Ashland.
